What is your favorite time period in history to learn about? (Through books, TV, Movies, News, etc.)

I love learning about the humans that lived on the earth about 30,000 to 40,000 years ago. There isn't too much about that time period. But what there is, I love to hear about.

Also, The history of the American Indian has always intrigued me.

I'd say medieval and Renaissance Europe, particularly in England, Spain, and Byzantium.

I like the Romans and their Empire. The time before is too little known and there is always a lot of fiction involved.

Middle-age and Antiquity.

Swords, armors, battles, sieges, mythology and just so much stuff of legend !

From half a second, all the way to a full second after the Big Bang.

Definately Middle Ages and I also like the ages of exploration (So many possiblilities :) ) The Punic Wars and Pellopponessian Wars are pretty interesting.

My favorites include learning about Cortez and Pizzaro conquering empires in the Americas. Cortez conquering the Aztecs and Pizzaro the Incas. Fun Stuff.

Most of my knowledge in history is centered around Rome, WW2 and Jewish history. That's mainly because these are the issues i'm most exposed to and a lot of information about them is readily available.

But what(I think) really interests me is very early societies. At that stage between boring agricultural life and huge advanced empires. Well, with the exception of early Egypt, all the Tomb-Raider style hype killed my interest in it. The problem is that I cant really find(not that I really looked for) good information about the period.

Early civilizations until classical age and through to 100 AD. 950-1400 Middle Ages and 1700-2004 for Europe. Love Carribean 1492-1700, anceint Japan and China (although know very little of the last 2).

Ancient Rome...it was just the best time period ever...wish I had lived at that time, I would give anything to go back in time and live during that time  also the middle ages(due to the battles of this time-I just love battles where there is no gunpowder :D ) I hate the chinese because they invented gunpowder!

Ancient civilizations. 4000 B.C. - 1 B.C. (because 0 A.D. doesn't exist :p).

The colonization of Latin America and the events leading up to it in both Mesoamerica and Europe--so, basically from around 711 AD (conquest of Spain by the Moors) to 1821 (independence in Latin America). Of course, there are plenty of things that do not interest me in that same period, but the events that interest me most are within that time frame.
