Your Favorite Time Period in History

It varies a lot. For a couple of weeks, I've had this passion for the Late Antiquity - the fall of Rome, the beginning of the Middle Ages.
But generally I stick to the non-pre-historic history of Europe and the Americas.

the 60s and 70s!!! Jackson Brown rocks!!!

What is your favorite time period in history to learn about? (Through books, TV, Movies, News, etc.)

I love learning about the humans that lived on the earth about 30,000 to 40,000 years ago. There isn't too much about that time period. But what there is, I love to hear about.

Also, The history of the American Indian has always intrigued me.

Even see the 'People of the Fire'...Wolf...etc...? Good series on that time frame.

I would probably pick 1800's with modern medical facilities and stocks of Mountain Dew.

Everything about China, India, Japan, and the Middle East, Napoleanic wars, Thirty Years War, World War One, World War Two, Modern Warfare, Rome, Greece, Middle Ages, Persia, Ottoman Empire, Union of Germany, Very Early History, not in that order of preference.

Everything prior to 1945. All countries, all cultures. Art, religion, warfare, philosophy, science, biography, anthropology, archaeology and the interaction of them all.

I have a passing interest in most historical eras. No one really grabs my attention and holds it. I don't really seek out certain eras, but if I find a book thats interesting to me, and it takes place in the past, I don't hold that era against it.

It varies. Right now I am reading a series of fact books regarding WWII.

Other than that, I am intrested in ancient Rome, Greece and Babylon. Also Swedish history, all of it.

Well, I love history in general... but I like the Antique, the Romans, the Byzantines, the Middle Ages and the WW1/WW2 time.

I am not interested in modern day history after WW2. After 1700 besides WW1/WW2 I am only interested in a shallow overview, not much more.
