Your Favourite Dinosaur?

Parasaurolophus.

I don't have a specific one but I like the dinosaurs of the seas and oceans.

There were hardly any aquatic dinosaurs, and there still are few - although some of them are quite impressive or beautiful. E.g. the kingfisher family has a few beauties in it.

yeah, liopleurodon!

Not a dinosaur, sorry! :(

My personal fav is an as yet unnamed species of Psittacosaurus, and if I ever manage to get the skull out of China on loan and X-rayed (too many fakes in Chinese museums), I will name it.

Ooh, nice one.

Although it bothers me for some reason that T. rex is referred to as t-rex or something. Outside maybe H. sapiens and other members of the genus, it is the only organism usually called by non-scientists by the specific name, and not even in the right format.

This one was/is my favourite as well! I just spend 5 minutes googling for its name. As a child, i had a model of one of them as toy, with which i used to attack my LEGO castle... Good times! :D

Are you me?

I was all over the ankylosaurus. Its so badass.

And the scientists can go to hell, the brontosaurus will always be real to me!

I honestly do not have a 'favorite dinosaur'. I pretty much loathe all reptiles. On top of that, I'm GLAD the large meteor came, and wiped them all out completely, once and for all. Good move, God.

What a bunch of freaks. If you love them so much, how's about a nice little kiss??

I used to do that too.

Even better, when the cicadas come out one year, I had a T. Rex with movable jaws, and would have it eat the cicadas. It was really disgusting now that I think about it, but it amused one seven year old.

Let me qualify what I meant by T-Rex being my favourite. It is of course down to this guy:

You must have had a deprived childhood :shake:

Hm, do you loath yourself? :crazyeye:

(hint: the good old 'reptiles' do not exist in that form anymore. Any recent cladogram can show you that if you want to use it and include crocs, lizards, dinosaurs etc in 'reptiles', you have to push it so far down the tree that it includes the so-called 'therapsids' and their descendants: mammals!)

I would have to say Utahraptor, the dinosaur that Michael Crichton based his Velociraptors in Jurassic Park on. Honestly, I understand why he changed their name. "Velociraptor" sounds much cooler than "Utahraptor".

A Roc?

For me, no contest: I chose this as my favourite as a child for forgotten reasons and have stuck with it for sentimental reasons. Probably because I'd like to ride one.

Snap. Although I did have a quick fling with the brachiosaurus.

The ankylosaurus and triceratops have always been favorites. If I were forced to choose between the two of those, I'd go with the triceratops.

I rest my case...
