German

Prolly because Im of German/English descent, and I've never heard anyone talk Italian.

That is a real shame. Download some jovanotti off limewire or something, you will hear italian being sung- Next best thing.

Hmm, I speak English and Mandarian Chinese.

So does that mean I can't vote for them?

Of course you can vote for them. In this poll you are supposed to vote for a language that you like, other than your mother language. It does not matter if you can or cannot understand it.

That said, i don't know Italian (save for some words and expressions) but i think it's the most pleasing to hear.

Spanish because even though it is not my native language I speak it pretty well. Of course, I am used to Mexican accents (which do not sound pretty by any means of the imagination, unless spoken by an attractive woman) and I think the accents of Spain are funny.
Mainland Spain accents sound really cool.

I speak quite well 2 languages (apart from my native one), but still my favourite language is a different one: Italian.

I just noticed a mistake i made in the polll: Instead of Portuguese i wrote Poruguese.

Sorry for that.

My native language is English. I voted for Japanese (I am bilingual) but I also like Gaelic, Latin and German. It helps to be able to speak some Spanish where I live.

You speak Japanese? Cool! Can you read and write it as well?

My favorite languages include English, just because I can speak it like no other tongue on the planet, and because I think, sing, and basically breathe that language.

Spanish is my favorite non-english language, because it makes more sense than English does, and because it just sounds so cool. Relatively easy to learn as well.

Japanese is interesting as well. I tried learning it once, but the class I took was sub par. I do have some study tapes however, and I should probably put those to use.

When I was young I also tried to learn Russian, but I thought then, as I do now, that it isn't that appealing, and is rather difficult.

Arabic is also another good one, and I may try to learn it in the future.

I love the way Arabic is written. It's so beutiful. If it's as good spoken as it is written, then I'll definately learn it. I wish the Turks kept it, most Turkish languages looks ugly when writen with the latin alphabet.

I like Russian, because Russia is an awesome country.

I like Chinese, Japanese and Italian too,

edit: so I chose Arabic.

Yes to both.

Don't give up. Give it another try.

Well, technically my mother language is Mandarian Chinese. Learned it by age 10 months or something.

And I learned English at age 3. So I consider them both to be my mother languages.

Voted arabic, just sounds so exotic. As other posters have noted Gaelic also sounds great if spoken properly (shame its gone into decline really).

esperanto! every country name ends in o. how stupid

Japanese is an incredibly interesting language. The completely alien written system is what makes it so interesting to me. Been working on and off at it for half a year and my knowledge of grammar isn't too bad. Hope to go through my whole kanji dictionary in the summer and be able to read novels by the end of the year. Last GCSE exam is on June 22nd, so I'll start serious work at it then.

Never been able to find any interest in European languages, they're just too similar to English. And accents and diacritics make the written languages look ugly. Classification of words into genders is arbitrary and senseless.
