That is a real shame. Download some jovanotti off limewire or something, you will hear italian being sung- Next best thing.

Italian just sounds weird to say the least. I didn't enjoy it, its a scary language. I'm sticking with German besides my native English.

Right, because German isn't a scary language or anything . . .

"ICH NEIN KANN SPRACHEN DEUTSCH!"

It is not as scary as the song I listened to.

The only scary thing about that sentense is the horrible abuse of grammar...

I'm guessing that you meant "Ich kann nicht Deutsch sprechen"? If so, the original certainly got the point across.

By the way, a literal translation of what you wrote might be "I German no spoke can!"

Regardless, I fail to see what's scary about it.

Unfortunately I can't make you listen to the sound of this phrase through my ears - it sounds so "threatening".

:hmm:
English shouldn't be in the poll, it's not fair.
Anyway ... (excluding english) i would have to decide between Italian (because it is similar to Romanian:D) , Latin (because it has power:D) and German (because it is evil:evil:).

italian is scary and weird? i don't think there are many people that would agree with you.

Yeah Klingon and Elvish are scarey and wierd not because they aren't good languages it's just the people who learn them are scarey and wierd.:)

It's not a relevant pole, I'd of said English but then it's the only language I can speak fluently, it seems to me your seeing a representation of what the majority on these forums speak, not a love of language.

Well, it was enough to make it clear, if I ever find myself in Germany, that I can't speak German. Thanks for the right phrase, though, I will try to remember it.

To me, German just always sounds scary. Speaking Spanish in a loud, authoritative voice just isn't the same.

Other (Gaelic)

Latin is nice, too, but not as nice.
OMG, i love you... Well, not really but Gaelic and Irish equal the bomb

its really hard to say, since i dont know every language inthe world, so i dont want to discriminate. but so far... persian, italian, French, spanish (argentinian, castillian) japanese, brazilian portugese...

arabic is cool as well. the egyptians, and lebonese have the best accents.
so of all the ones mentioned above i guess i have to go with persian, since its my native tongue.

I once had a short lived interest in Perisian.

I still want to learn a mid eastern language, and It would either be that or Arabic.

I don't like Turkish, though, it looks ugly in the latin alphabet. :cringe:

I downloaded a song by Jonovatti character however you spell it. And the song was called 'Tanto' and I really did not like it.

I allready speak spanish and enlgish so I voted portugese (spl? ) I am learning it now to understand all of those ivete sangalo (points to avatar) songs ;) I really do think the carioca accent is cool ...not so much the manus one that my buddies at work speak
...same with spanish and mexico for that matter in every state in mexico the accents seem to differ more than american accents differ

I am surprised that you have included trivial and insignificant languages like Swedish and Portuguese and Latin but have not included even a single Indic language ( no Hindi , Marathi , Bengali . . . . . ) .

Try "I belong to you". It's a duet with Eros Ramazzoti and Anastacia. It is an English-Italian song and i just love it for some reason. I think you will like it too (if you like ballads).
