Russia monarchy/epic 600 AD scenario:
Now Moscow is well balanced, and it is too easy in 3000 BC (just sweep through Europe), so here is the strategy.
1. 4 initial cities: Moscow - Caricyn (3E3S from spawn point, can share wheat, fetch iron, sheep, flood pain and silk after 1200) - Vologda (4N, Fur, it is weak from start but will eventually grow to a nice big city) - Magnitokursk (west from Urals, N from iron hill, SE from wheat, this spot is not by river, that means you can spam warriors for happiness there).
2. Switch to warrior code. Do not use slavery, +25% work rate and pasture hammer is better. Do not adopt religion yet.
2a. Moscow build library - it is better to have your own research than rely on spies, it will pay off. Caricyn warrior - barracks - chariot(send to Merv as reinforcement) - units - settler(found St. Peterburg or somewhere, depend on AI Polish), Vologda build worker(it takes so long), Magnitokursk spam warriors.
3a. 3 horse archers go SE to capture indy/barb Merv and Samarkand, then 1 go capture barb Kashgar with guaranteed win, then go on to Dunhuang, contact China. 2 go capture Herat if able. Whether you get it or not, go to India to pillage and capture some workers. Merv, Samarkand and/or Herat build wealth or workers only.
3b. 2 longbowmen and swordsmen go near Kiev, wait for it spawn, capture it on that turn, restart if you lose. It is acceptable to lose up to 2 units.
4a. The key part of this strategy is Kashgar - be sure it has market or grocer, . Kashgar has 4 food on city spot, so it can keep 2 merchants on 2 pop, and can breed a great merchant before Mongol spawns. Walk him along the Silk road to Nanjing and get 2000 gold!
4b. Kiev build granary, it will be a while before your workers go there. One longbowman go to Caricyn in case of barb horse archers. It is possible to capture workers near German Buda, do it.
5. Diplomacy: we want to get friendly with Byz and China.

Buy fishing, then trade sailing by meditation with Byz.

Open border with Arabs and sell cow for a few golds at start.

Get aesthetics and drama from Koreans, better do this before OB with China.

OB with China, don't trade anything yet, you can get compass from many others like Khmer. I don't know why AI tends to have their GS bulb it.

Adopt Orthodoxy after you get all above done.

Keep an eye on Viking and Holy Romans. Sometimes Vikings collapse for no reason, then it is time to get Oslo silver.

Before Seljuk spawns, if Arabs control Persia, they are likely to send many workers, then it is about time...

The Seljuk will capture Merv and Persia for sure, but Samarkand is safe even without garrison, so be prepared. In my second game, my horse archer captured 3 wokrers from India and got stuck in Southern Persia, and I found out that Sirajis was empty, so I captured it and built a useless galley - I should build a war elephant instead.

Declare war on Poland after their 10-turn peace expires. They'll send their initial army to siege Kiev, and will be crushed by general winter. Capture their other cities at the same time. You can capitulate or destroy them.

Gift Samarkand, Kashgar and Dunhuang to China before Mongol spawn, have your horse archer or chariot stay in Southern China and trigger Mongol conqueror event under your control.

With all efforts, you'll get guilds around 1150, and Moscow can spawn a great scientist and bulb philosophy by 1250. Get friendly with Byz after they got engineering, trade time!

With China: buy civil service and paper with feudalism and guilds, and printing press can be bought by philosophy and banking (you research it). Have Catholicism spread to your cities, switch and buy, holy, you founded Protestantism and waged 30-years war in 14th century. Get the gold and All-Saints church, research optics and use it to buy patronage from China.

Have a trireme ready and upgrade to caravel, sail to buy divine rights from Mali.

Fight with Mongols! They have a chance to capture barb Kazan', don't let them do so, you need general winter to weaken them. After you destroyed conqueror units, have some knights and spearmen/pikemen to recapture Merv and Samarkand (you need only one of them), then you can skip Persia and conquer Baghdad & Jerusalem(optional).

Do not research gunpowder, you'll eventually found someone to trade, then you'll be ready to fight any Europeans.
6. Spread Catholicism again, switch back, build the wonders. Franks built the Sistine Chapel before me in my game, so I conquered all France while their main troops attacking Belgrad. Pity. Build castle in Marseilles, your next opponent is Spanish.
7. I got astronomy around 1470, not bad. Then it is education - liberalism & constitution and switch to republic-representation-secularism and build the Taj Mahal as usual. Germans and Turks usually get military tradition before you do, but you can stand it. Build jails and focus EP on one of them, beeline communism, then you can become superpower, play at will.
7. Research astronomy during your first golden age by the Versailles. Ready settlers and workers as usual.
