Hey, I didn't know they were a Talking Heads offshoot. What's the link?

That track is kooky and kinky, loved the lyrics.

The Brian Eno & David Byrne video is wicked too.
Tom Tom Club was Tina Weymouth and Chris Frantz (and a loose configuration of others including Tina's sister) who were also part of Talking Heads. The Talking Heads were pretty open to allowing band members having side projects and guest musicians like Lou Reed where they sang Femme Fatale (which I can't find on Youtube but I'll give you Lou Reed's version) on one of their albums.

Nico, John Cale and Lou Reed Femme Fatale 3:44

and here are more influences by those crazies headers.

Chicks on Speed - Wordy Rappinghood
rap gone electro. mix in the disco  = :bounce:

The greatest jazz drummer who ever lived, Buddy Rich, doing one of his famous solos:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEB8fDcuICw

He was a child prodigy of sorts and never practiced a day in his life.

Those of you who are fans of rock drummers, pay attention to how Buddy does not surround himself with forty gazillion cans. He has a bass drum, a snare, a tom, one or two floor toms, a couple of cymbals and a hi-hat. That's it. Those rock drummers with their crazy massive trap sets are overcompensating for a lack of talent.

The much-acclaimed Neil Peart of Rush fame once did a tribute album to Buddy Rich. That's how absolutely badass Buddy Rich was.

Oh, and just for laughs, here is a "drum off" between Buddy Rich and Animal of the Muppets:

Here's heavy metal guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen performing "Far Beyond the Sun":

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hZYHDBTSnys

People complain that Malmsteen is technically perfect but has no soul. You know what? Screw them. People like that say the same thing about Wynton Marsalis. To me that kind of criticism sounds like Salieri complaining that Mozart's compositions had too many notes.

Speaking of Wynton Marsalis, he is unique in that he is considered one of the best jazz trumpet players alive today and one of the best classical trumpet players. In fact many classical trumpeters will refuse to do solos on the same stage as this man because they don't want to be embarrassed.

Here he is in a jam session at the 2006 Vitoria Jazz Festival:

Just so you can also hear his classical work, here he is performing the third movement of the Hummel Trumpet Concerto in E with the English Chamber Orchestra:

Normally I don't care for chamber music, but I'll make an exception for Wynton Marsalis!

Malmsteen?
You obviously like him, however speaking as someone who used to be quite able to play guitar at high speed i can tell you that it is not that difficult to play endless solo, and i am not arguing that it is nothing either, just noting that it is not as impressive as your post suggested.
Personally i found that composition he was playing to be really very dull and lifeless...

Moreover no virtuoso is remembered if he could not compose anything. Paganini would have been forgotten if he did not leave behind something with a distinct theme that makes an impression.
