YouTube videos from Civ streamers!

Not to be confused with the OTHER Isabella Diety video that came out today

Playing Ibn Battuta leading Hawai'i on a Fractal map

VanBradley is one of the most enthusiastic Civ 7 streamers. I hope that DrProof (German) and tvgry (Polish), who have been negative about some aspects of Civ 7, will also be able to post another hour of footage.
Apparently not.

DrProof about Civ 7 in his last video (0:25-1:15):

I've increased my Civ 7 playtime to 50 hours and wish I could show more, but I've already used up the hour of gameplay I was allowed to show in video footage, so I'm already working on the final review. In any case, I hope that the final release patch will come out soon. Last week I played a multiplayer game in Civilization 7 with two Firaxis employees and there were initially some desyncs, then Civ simply reloads and you can just continue playing normally. Nevertheless, I hope that the whole thing will be a little more stable in multiplayer in the future, especially in the released version, because a lot of people already like to play it in multiplayer, and I think that the developers will also focus a little more on multiplayer. In any case, it worked really cool at the online speed. It was also a funny story - I waged war against one of the Firaxis employees and put the person under a lot of stress.

An interview with the devs that covers a few topics including civ and leader choice and the decision to pick 3 ages as opposed to any other number.
It also reveals that mod tools may not be available on launch day but that some people are already modding the game and it is important to them to get those tools out.

Looks like there may be more interviews coming out today/this week. VanBradley also has one up now:

Just starting it now, so I can't summarize it, but VanBradley highlighted this quote, which I love:

"A perfectly BALANCED game is a BORING game!"

A Civfanatics mention from the devs in there.

Another dev interview

This one is showing the console UI with radial menus.

As predicted, attacking a packed army allows you to kill the commander and damage all units in the army all at once while the packed units do nothing and only deploy after the commander is dead.

I imagine it’s going to be very hard for the AI to know when to deploy. In this video the army walks right up to the frontline and stays packed.

At the very least the units should auto deploy as soon as the commander is attacked but that would also require a unit to deploy on to the same hex with the commander which apparently also is not possible.
