I think nazi-wannabe Mugabe should be tied to a missle and fired into space.

So the world can be rid of his odious jackboot regime.

That's exactly how I feel. Not what you said about being "hypocritical," but for having a reason to intervene.

Why should we waste our defense budget on some screwed-up African nation that'll undergo a coup d'Etat in five years anyway? Worse yet, why should we have our servicemen have to sacrifice their lives to settle disputes between tribal groups.

I think the liberals are backwards on this situation -- "we've got to intervene in Zimbabwe to help save innocent civilians," and as soon as one marine lands on the ground there, they cry out "now you're trying to destroy their culture!"

Well, in Africa, the culture is to kill all the rival tribes...so, I say, let them have their stupid 'culture.'

I think that the stable countries nearby should be the ones to solve the problem. The people of Zimbabwe would be much more welcoming of troops of a similar culture to theirs than to troops shipped there from half-way around the world who speak a foreign language and look and act completely different. This sort of thing should be orchestrated by the UN, where the countries near to the problem spot are put in charge and given support by the big nations such as the U.S., U.K., Canada, etc. Of course this isn't a perfect world, so the right thing often doesn't happen.
