Zombie Preparation

Why do you say an AK is prone to jamming? Certainly if it is not operated properly or abused too much it will jam but the AK-47 is notoriously difficult to jam compared to just about every other assault rifle in the world. It was designed for ease of use and for reliability and have a service life of between 20-40 years depending on the model and the level of care. If you want an assault rifle that jams easily try the SA80.

I coulda sworn I read somewhere that it is known for jamming, but apparently i was wrong. Though it is horribly inaccurate, but tbh if you're carrying an AK you're probably not looking to pinpoint too many objects.

So the consensus is that they do not jam any more than other assault rifles, but instead are considered more reliable. Sorry for the confusion.

No worries - actually the inaccuracy is the aspect that makes me leery of one for zombie defense, but the fixed bayonet capability is what carried it over the M-4 for me despite that handicap. And as a practical matter, I'm sure it is not so inaccurate that I can't get headshots a fair percentage of the time at twenty yards or less anyway.

My friend owned an AK-47 and the gun is amazing. e tossd it in the dirt and stomped on it, then dunked it in the creek by his house and started firing away.

Same thing is possible with an m-16, given the ejection port is closed.

In a long-term zombie-survival situation, bear in mind that there won't be a large amount of people using ammunition, so you'll be able to stock up on it in massive quantities.

SSSSSSHHH!!!!!

Did you get my Last Words? :p

First - Lillefix - thought you might be referring to the FFH tie-ins (plenty of undead there) but the game itself sounds fine too, though I've never played it.

Perversion of a Hamlet quote? Loud and clear. Alternate last words:

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead!

Also, still wish anybody would have gotten my reference :(

It's from the 2005 Halloween event. You gain a zombie head at the end and it can talk to you and say some witty things, and also you use it in an emote where you bow down on one knee, hold the head out in your hand looking at you, and then say Alas! I hardly knew him.

Primary Weapon: Aluminum Baseball Bat
Secondary Weapon: Football Helmet and Shoulder Pads
Vehicle: The biggest truck I can find/steal
Fortress: The Mall :/
Theme Song: Black Betty by Ram Jam
Partner In Crime (er.. zombie killing): I suppose a high level cleric with feated extra ranks in turn undead; barring that, Bear Grylls
Last Words: 'Tis only a flesh wound
Location: Massaholics Anonymous

Also it would be nice to know what kind of zombies one might face. The ones from the new Dawn of the Dead are terrifying: a mob of undead people that feel no pain and can run as fast as possible without tiring that turn you instantly when you die. The old shambling types from the early Romero movies are pathetic. If you can walk faster than a stroll you are probably ok.

Doesn't change that's its still a purposeful/famous misquote of Hamlet. You should know that - especially if you're holding a skull! Come on, man, thnik!
