ZWK PBEM game 2

I've already PM'd him and a couple others, so we'll see if there is any interest.

Well, Who's turn is it in this game? I've been watching the game the whole time, so get it going again...

Although I watched the movies, I'm no where near familiar enough to know who's who and what units are what. I figured for my first attempt at a scenario game it should be something I am somewhat familiar with. I understand WWII enough to have an idea of what's going on.

Since no one else has posted about it yet......

The Allies have taken Dubin and Cork (both Neutrals on Ireland). No other Neutral cities have been taken.

The Allies have only landed at Cherbourg, not taken the city.

The Soviets were rebuffed while trying to attack Riga, not Kiev.

So..... Ohwell should be up if there is nothing else of concern going on.

Ok... When did the Axis attack me? They were not at war before... and I saw no posts about it.

And I just checked my science, it is researching a tech I did NO choose!!!!!

Isn't the tech being researched the one you start the game researching? IIRC the Soviets are already started on a tech and it takes them at least 6 turns to finish it. The game is only at turn 5, right?

And, it looks like somewhere between week 6 and 8 war was declared between the Axis and Soviets. It looks like an Axis tank and Soviet Fighter met in the middle of the map and that might have sparked the discussion that did that.

We're at war? If, then we must be from the start I think. I didn't attack you, did I?

At the start of the game the Axis and Soviets are not at war with each other (yes, I have been looking at this scenario quite a bit lately ).

And, you guys wouldn't of had to actually attack each other, just have met somewhere on the map and the dialog from the AI could have easily made it be where war was 'declared'.

Only if one of you did not press ctrl-N (AND after activating a unit which still had some movement allowance) at the end of his turn.

AAh, that must have been it. I pressed it, but I activated a unit afterwards...

I think one of my fighters attacked one of your bombers.

And the tech thing, I was confused, I did not research anything at the beginning.

Is there an easy way to make peace??

This would be great! Now that you want to play, we can put you and Duke of Marlbrough as the minor Axis and Allies.

I still have reservations about jumping into the game and taking the spot of an AI controlled player. But, if everyone else agrees, I guess I could take the minor Axis and see what damage I could do.

I would almost prefer to start the game over since it has only gone 5 turns. That would solve the problems of the neutrals being attacked by the allies and the unintentional declaration of war bewteen the Axis and Soviets.

Let me know what you all think...

For reasons I have stated above, I think DUF and DOM (has a ring to it) should start a new game. In fact, I think DOM should start a new thread now inviting players.

The state of war is no big deal. As Allies I was 'at war' with the Soviets' for a few months just to please the French. There was of course no fighting since Soviet and Allied territory don't touch. But if you want to exchange techs, then you need to make peace. REM - you are not allowed to contact the pther player's AI unless he agrees before hand, like via PM.

The tech thing - the game has actually been in motion for a very long time by the time the scenario starts. So you will not be asked what you want to research like when you start a normal civ2 game.

One last thing -now it really is Darius' turn to move.

I don't think so... I've always gone after the axis and before the soviets, and I haven't seen an axis .net file after the most recent soviet .net file. Willem?
