ZWK PBEM game 2

My advice for you is to stack unimportant units as much as possible in your frontline cities, and build a real second front behind that line. That way your cities get burned down to the ground so I can't benefit from them and I loose my units.

Spoken like a true ZWK veteran. That's exactly what I would do - but unlike WillemO, I wouldn't tell you the secret until AFTER I captured all the western cities.

I haven't got a lot of reserves because of that.....it's all a big gamble.

Thanks for the tip

Very true. They're certainly worth building. My advice for you is to stack unimportant units as much as possible in your frontline cities, and build a real second front behind that line. That way your cities get burned down to the ground so I can't benefit from them and I loose my units. Try to find a ncie balance in building Industrial Estates and producing units. Btw, I think I'm attacking you far to early.

Hmm well I treat all my units with the same respect... they are all important to me ;) But you mean cheaper units I know.

Industrial Estates... I should make some of them instead of nonstop units and I should stop production hordes and continue with growth... but then I still don't know what I should do. I'll decide :D

But you'd better not get Kiev... otherwise Yak-3's are gonna kill you!

 Who says that information is true? I lie all the time :p

I recently looked at the tech tree, and now that Willem has the BT-7 he can even go up the tech tree to KV-1s, and T34s! This is not really that fair, my AI must have given him the BT-7.

Perhaps you should not be allowed to use a foreign unit unless the person gave you the tech purposely.

I wasn't planning to make use of this advantage, I never even considered researching KV-1.

I didn't say you were...

I was just practicing Single Player when I realized how easy the Soviets are once the cities max out population! I have some plans in the works now... :D

I checked it too. If you're saying you took Kiev, then it's the wrong attachment.

I didn't take Kiev, I just bombed it to pieces. No defenders left, and the city size is 2 now. So it can't fit the role of key city in Ukraine anymore... not really at least.

Umm... You wrote ZWK_Soviets_20.net, but I'll assume it was a typo and do my turn.

I hope so......not sure....and I can't get to the Civ II computer now. Just check if Novgorod is mine. That's all. Must be because I played the ZWK Game I before this one.

Yeah, I understand. I could tell this was the right one because Kiev had 2 people and you had Novgorod.

Oops, not this post.

Here we go:

- Continual Spitfire patrols around Gibraltar prove their worth; one German U-Boat sunk in the area.

- Tripoli ready to be taken, but then parliament foolishly forces a peace with the Minor Axis.

Koby,

If I end up getting a scandal in the senate over an unwanted peace with the Minor Axis, and the government falls, am I required to go back to democracy or could I get something a bit more warlike? Your call.

I think you could only choose despotism, since no one has the right techs for governments. But I think it is impossible to have a senate scandal, right?

Nope. In my single-player runthrough of this scenario, my senate made a peace with the Minor Axis outside Benghazi. So I fortified a tank next to the city and within one or two turns they asked me to withdraw my troops, and I chose "No! I renounce this worthless treaty!", and then there was a scandal in the senate and the government fell.

When I got to choose a government I had three choices: despotism, fascism, and democracy. I chose fascism, and the game was a lot easier from then on, with less support and less unhappiness.

It makes sense, perhaps Kobayashi made the government techs "NO" so that they couldn't be studied or stolen, but he still gave all or some of them to everybody. That's what I do in the scenario I'm making.
