2006 CFC 7-Round NFL Mock Draft (Starts 2/4)

Since it doesn't appear that MattBrown wants to run the Bengals anymore, we might as well continue with the draft:

With 27th pick of the 3rd round, the Cincinnati Bengals select:

Greg Blue - Safety - University of Georgia

Because you can never have too many lineman..

Jacksonville selects Andrew Whitworth (OT) LSU

As already much discussed the Broncos selected Vick with the 94th pick, therefore, with the 95th pick in the CFC draft, the Indianapolis Colts select:

Demetrius Williams - Wide Reciever - University of Oregon

With the 31st pick of the 3rd round, the Seattle Seahawks select:

Kelly Jennings - Cornerback - University of Miami

And as announced by Sanabas on the previous page, the Pittsburgh Steelers select:

Jeremy Bloom - Freestyle Skier - U.S. Winter Olympic Team

now deliberating selection...

Draft grades for day 1 (rd. 1-3) will be rolled out this week starting with the AFC East tomorrow along with the an explanation of the grading system.

gah, this is freaking hard. Im going best player available...

If I were you I would go after either a TE or a NT. Both are clear needs for you and there are still people on the board that are perfectly capable of starting on your team at those positions.

Round 4. Pick 1

Day 1 grades starting with the AFC East
First, let me explain the grading scale, it was curved to an 80, meaning that 16 teams got a B- or above and 16 teams got a C+ or below. The grade distribution above 80 was 3 A's, 3 A-'s, 3 B+'s, 3 B's, and 4 B-'s. With that said, let's go to the first set of grades!

They had Reggie Bush magically fall into their lap at the 4 spot. Beyond that, they picked up Jean-Gilles whom is the best guard in the draft to block for him and also brought in a QB who can suceed in the West Coast offense. But mainly, they got bush at 4!

After trading down from the 8 spot they got themselves a total of 5 first day picks, and this team needs them. They also managed to address about every single one of their team needs in this draft, however, the thing keeping them from that A is the fact that there a some big question marks surrounding each and everyone of it's picks.

Brought in two LB's to take over for their rapidly aging core. Getting Moss in the 2nd was a huge steal.

Two great picks in Jimmy Williams and Charles Spencer in the 1st and 3rd respectively. However, though they desparate need for a QB let them reach a bit for Brodie Croyle in the second.

Up Next: the NFC North
