Who has A&M beaten? Ole Miss and Vandy? South Carolina has a better resume at this point.

That's a fair point, but South Carolina's losses -- Georgia and Tennessee -- are much worse than A&M's losses to Alabama and Auburn. And I think A&M wins the dreaded eyeball test, just because they have Johnny Football. It'd be an interesting game. It's unfortunate the two don't play each other this year . . .

It's opposite day in the second half in College Station. Seemingly every Aggies possession ends in a turnover, while Vandy can't convert short yardage on the ground . . .

EDIT: Alabama's got only seven defensive linemen available to play today . . .

Speaking of opposite day, our defense basically won this game for us  as much as the offense tried to throw it away (literally and figuratively)

I wonder had our defense played like this against Auburn (and dare I say Alabama) if we would be a one loss or undefeated. But, that did not happen and we are a two loss team.

Johnny Football looks human as his injuries clearly are holding him back. Even at 80% he is one of the top QBs in the country. Still don't think he is ready for the NFL.

Mike Evans for the Biletnikoff Award after the nice string of performances. I think he is a great WR and not just a product of JFF's success.

Eh, I dunno about that. South Carolina lost to Georgia before they were obliterated by injuries. I think Georgia was actually favored in that game. It's not the same team.

The trouble there is that Vandy's not Alabama or Auburn. Vandy's actually pretty bad this year, playing more like Vandy than Franklin's Vandy . . .

Yes, but even healthy Georgia doesn't compare to Alabama, and while Auburn may be a little overvalued right now, they're still a lot better than Tennessee . . .

Yeah, rewatching the game on ESPN3 and it looks and feels different from the first deck view at the stadium.

These are words I never thought I'd say, but I heard an interesting point from a caller on Finebaum today. If anyone other than Georgia wins the East, they are likely to be coming into the SEC Title game on the heels of a fairly brutal loss. I doubt that a lackluster performance vs. a lackluster opponent would be enough to really affect Alabama's chances at the national title game -- assuming we're representing the West and still in the conversation at that point -- but it was an interesting point . . .

I like how ESPN is basically assuming all nationally relevant underclassmen QBs are going pro early regardless of their situation.

Not all, just those who are a probably 1st or 2nd round grade. Yes, that means Manziel.

Whoever wins the SEC East this year should be banned from playing in an auto BCS bowl for those crimes against humanity they committed "playing football".

If Missouri wins the SEC East, they pretty much had to have beaten Texas A&M, right? Or are you assuming Florida beats South Carolina, so the Tigers could lose another game and still be in first place?

These are not your Daddy's Little 10, I mean big12 Mizzou and Texas A&M anymore.

If Mizzou does not lose another game before they face Texas A&M, it won't matter if they win or lose, they will have already clinched the division. It will only matter for bowl selection and BCS standings.

If A&M beats Missouri and South Carolina wins out, they're both 6-2 in the SEC and South Carolina has the head to head win. Isn't that the first tiebreaker?

If Georgia wins the Cocktail party this weekend, they could also finish with two losses. They would still have to beat Auburn to make that happen, but if they did then head-to-head wouldn't resolve the three way tie, since Georgia beat SCAR who beat Mizzou who beat Georgia. The next tiebreaker is divisional record, so Missouri would be the East's representative since one of their conference losses would be to the West while SCAR and Georgia both lost to two East teams.

EDIT: But yes, if Missouri loses to A&M and a) Florida beats Georgia and SCAR wins out -- handing Florida a third loss in the process -- or b) Georgia beats Florida, loses to Auburn and SCAR wins out, South Carolina would represent the East in the SEC Title game . . .

EDIT EDIT: In other news, with Alabama off this week Michigan/Michigan State gets Eli Gold for their national radio broadcast, so that will be nice for them.

Oliver Luck, the Big XII's representative on the Playoff Committee, is moving from WVU to Texas when Dodd retires . . .

Pretty much, yeah . . .

On the Oregonian Blog, sounds about right, but holy cow is he naive. (the former player)

I love love love going to stadiums and watch games, and it doesn't just happen at Oregon. I have heard it at Texans games, Cowboys games, Saints games, OK State games, Texas and Texas A&M *GASP!* games, Houston Dynamo games, Astros games, Club America (Mexico City team for you non soccer folks) games, Mexico and USA national team games, and even in Europe at the Paris St. Germain, Ajax, AC Milan and Liverpool games I attended to. Everyone has an opinion and some are very vocal (and vulgar) about it.

I normally don't get flustered by it like the player in the letter, but I brought my 9 year old to the Auburn - Texas A&M game and the Auburn fan (a woman) who actually went to Texas, dropped many expletives including "F***ing kill Johnny Football!", other Aggies around me were about to jump her because I had my daughter with me. She insisted on dropping F and S bombs, but she was saved when (unbeknownst to her) one of the Auburn guys she was with apologized for her to me. We (Aggies season ticket holders) were still talking about her at the Vandy game. That was the closest I may have felt to taking action. But my daughter and I know that this behavior is expected at stadiums and we just shake our heads and continue watching the magicians on the field go to work.

With that, I am very surprised that this former player was not aware of it. It is even portrayed in movies and TV. Reading it almost felt like he just realized and is announcing that politicians lie and break promises, and is shocked.
