2019 Christmas Thread

How many of you still have your decorations and trees up?
We did not get a tree or put up any decorations this year. Pretty much the only thing special we did on Christmas was read the nativity story from the book of Luke and sing happy birthday to Jesus, at my father's insistence. We exchanged a couple gifts when my sister and niece visited on December 10 (before leaving to spend the holidays with her in-laws in Michigan) and will be doing the rest of Christmas with my half brothers' family this coming Sunday. (Normally the other half brother hosts about a week before Christmas, but his wife is in the hospital a her multiple myeloma has gotten bad.)

We never decorated as extravagantly as some families and have not had a real Christmas tree since I gradated high school. Before that our family's tradition was to get the tree on my mother's birthday (December 19th) and take it down on my birthday (February 1).

Bah, humbug!

It's the 19th day of christmas

It's not the time to remove the tree yet, we are going to have the Old New Year in two days!

day of christmas

and people were complaining about spamming jeez

So christmas is over tomorrow, which I think people should like think about, as I said in my first post in this thread. It's stupid to become sick of christmas by christmas eve. You shouldn't put up christmas decorations until 22nd or 23rd december (before that you can put up some advent decorations, like purple tablecloths and such), and then like have your house nice and cozy until now
