If chew toy destruction were a profession, my dog would be a handsomely paid surgeon. He's been delicately tearing apart his Christmas chew toy gift since we got it. The toy has two pieces, a shaft inside another shaft and he gingerly picks apart the outermost shaft with his front teeth so he can extract the inner shaft.
He's obeying his instincts that tell him to extract the marrow from the inside of the bone. Of course real bones aren't made of plastic or other synthetics.

It's official. The zebra-print blanket I was given anonymously now belongs to Maddy. I'd put it down on her bed (had nowhere else to put it) and she has now remade it to her own preferences, snuggled down, and taken at least three catnaps.

Correction: Four. She's snuggled down in it right now. :sleep:

Maddy = 1
Zebra = 0
It's not a real zebra! :nono:

It's made of fleece and is very soft. But animal patterns aren't my idea of bedding, and this is actually something that Maddy can shed on and it won't show that much.

She's now on her sixth catnap.

My dad used to have a dog that loved those bone-shaped bits of rawhide. She would spend lots of time untying the knots in them, and he'd tie them back up for her.
