Ragnar was my next victim, but he triggered golden age and my gunship with help of Redcoats could not break him. But Golden Age ended, so I hope I'll beat him now. It's 1350AD.

This is where I prove that I'm not a deity player.

I have previously conquered Wang and Huana. I have good relations all around. I decide to wait for drafted redcoats as I have few units to take Sal. I bribe Cathy into war with him, then Ragnar piles on and asks me to join just as I'm ready. I'm not really that well set up culturally but goes OK at first. I destoy the mobile force that comes at me of 20 or so units. Now I'm thinking I'm clear-figuring the TWO other fronts have the rest of his troops tied up. I take a couple of cities and clear a third when out of nowhere come 20 more units to counter. I reluctantly take peace, then he vassals to Ragnar. I would surely not get dom before a launch if it were enabled.

Next checkpoint ... Ragnar and Saladin vassalized. I guess with 5 vassals and with 'Our state religion is the best' I could easily run Representation instead of Police State now. We will see, only Cyrus is to be vassalized now. It's gonna be easy ... Gunship survived till now.

Checked your save. Impressive research, but weak military. You should make use of Globe Theatre (drafting). Belive me it very helps. This powerful wonder won one war for me. Before this thread I have not even thought about using Globe to draft citizen. Or maybe you should simply go for SpaceRace. Good luck.

edit And when drafting, I run Theocracy. One exp from Barracks and one exp from civic give 2exp, which allows you to promote unit.

@Snaaty: are you planning next game? Maybe Philosophical leader, Immortal lvl, Domination. I am curious if I manage with farm economy. On high levels I used to play safe cottage economy.

I'm now thinking the thing to do is to draft it down to the drafting minimum to get max pop growth--is that what you think?

Actually, I don´t plan to do another open game, because I don´t have too much time right now and I´m a little tired with the game.

Right now, I`m considering playing one last civ game myself, but it would be more like a game like this (suits my prefered style of play):

Deity, huge archipelago map (I will make sure that we start isolated), no bonuses, good start, space race

...

If there is lots of interest I could turn it in an open game and play it here....

@Snaaty: I can play this deity game, so you can make it open. However I wish to have a chance of Conquest/Domination.

Domination. Lost plenty of units and made plenty wrong decisions, but finished this game. Unfortunately my initial Gunship was destroyed.

Checked the settings you proposed. It's playable, if there is space to expand. I voto for H.Capac or Mansa Musa.

I played the game with these settings and lost Lib Race. Hanibal (fin+collosus) beat me. I sold him Paper when Education was to be completed in 1 turn. I was producing research in all cities. And I was 3 turns behind, when Liberalism was researched. I had 5 cities, could be more, but I was behind in tech all the time. I did not found any religion. And had no gold neither ivory near to me.

@Snaaty: I think it would be the matter of luck, the results of this game.

I wonder what was to improve in my game.
