More Unique Components for Vox Populi

3rd and 4th Unique Components for VP - Official thread 88.10

with the most recent update, Inca's Quilca spawns Coca only on Capital. Other cities are not getting Coca anymore

I can confirm this is happening in my game as well.

Also the Inca founded a city on top of a mountain then built Machu Pichu, which overrode the normal city graphic. Which looks odd, but I suppose is fine.

Should I be able to see the extra components from the Civ select screen? For me its only showing the 2 units, not the buildings, unless I use Really Advanced Setup. Is that normal? I've confirmed its working correctly in-game though.

How can you tell if you are on normal or EUI, ive installed EUI and I can swear im on it but it would be nice to know.

If you play with normal UI long enough, you can easily recognize the difference between vanilla UI and EUI. It's a glaring difference.
Your loading screen is being overridden by another mod which also replaces the loading screen Lua file.

I tried playing an Iroquois game with this mod (and others) and their unique scriveners office was not granting the reciprocity promotion to Great Diplomats, meaning I was unable to get yields from planting embassies. I checked with IGE and the dummy buildings for Sachem's council were present and I checked the debug database and all the relevant fields were there. At that point I reached the limit of my kludge ability to debug. @pineappledan maybe you have an insight into what might be happening
Not sure how my additional mods might have impacted this but I thought it germane to note that I was playing with unique city states, more wonders and more resources. I have not had occasion to try unique component Iroquois with those mods disabled to test if they may be the cause of this

Hey. I know Pineappledan is kinda burned out with this mod, but still I have to ask.

Is this mod still viable with version 3.5?

It’s usable, but there’s some out of date text and some weird compatibility stuff now. The unique wonders for civs still have population requirements even though those were removed for base game UNWs, for instance. A few text errors and unattended lua errors.

I’m (slowly) working on bug fixes and updates, but it’s going to be a while.

Greatly appreciating your work. This mod is a fantastic addition to VP and adds a lot of depth and character to the civs. And most of the modded civs also have more UCs in their kit.

Thanks anyway!

Sometimes I think people who play with this mod and all of it's mod-mods should be more vocal in their appreciation of those capable to make these amazing creations. You have mine and my respect for what you do all in your spare time :).

Your work with this one and other mods is simply awesome. VP without them is a completely different user experience, a less engaging one. Take your time, rest, enjoy life, and please, go on improving your amazing creation. It's artwork.
Thanks a lot!

Qullqa changes are untested. I need some time to verify if it works.that’s why I haven’t made an announcement.

The new Indian unit seems to create a visual bug with DX9

The Buffalo Pound description says that it provides the same bonus as the Well (".. in addition to normal bonuses of the Well..."), plus food from animals bonuses. However its civilopedia article says it provides 1 food per 5 citizens, not 1 production (like a Well does)

The Grenzer change looks more obnoxious than anything. Is that for balance reasons or to smooth some code?
Qullqa disabling stagnation and starvation is really intriguing, really want to play with that, but I'm not sure the mechanic suits the Incans. They don't really have food issues. Gonna really, really miss the coca too, that's a huge loss not just for Inca but the entire modded game.
