More Unique Components for Vox Populi

3rd and 4th Unique Components for VP - Official thread 88.10

It seems to be that the mod still tries to load Ulfhedinn, the previous German UU:

Yup, I've kept it in there for anyone that wants to add them back in. They can just go in and modify a couple lines in the ulfhedinn file to re-enable them
 
@pineappledan I recently updated to all the most recent patches, and I'm noticing I'm still having the same issue of a Yamato graphical/sound bug, where the animation stalls and stutters for a good while before finishing the combat. Ship positions itself, and the guns flicker in silence for a few seconds- it's glaringly slow. This happens if you play as Japan or vs the AI.

Any idea how I could resolve this? Is there a source for the files I could grab? Though I don't know how I would install them, if this game needs special modding tools. Next step might be reinstalling the game, but I doubt that would have anything to do with what's inside a mod. Thanks for any insight. I'd appreciate the help, as I've avoided including the Japanese in any of my games for a good long time now due to this bug.

EDIT: I think the model was taken from the JFD Tojo mod, so I traced a version somewhere else here. That model's animations and sound work fine. UC's doesn't for me. I'm not using any mods beyond the VP bundle and 3/4 UC.

Thank you for keeping detailed changelogs. I was trying to use NearbyHealing promotion effects for a separate mod, wasted probably more than an hour to get it working until I learned from your changelogs that it required sth to be set in custommodoptions (coreentries doesn't say anything about that).
 
Now playing as Siam in the culture screen I get Prasat (which is a Khmer building) instead a Temple, so I can't see/move my music GW.

I see with Siam, when I run processes (food, science or culture) and my city get extra production (city growth, border expansion, CS quest) - I can switch production to something and use that extra production. But when CS grant me units and I got 3 in the same turn then Baan Chang grant me production - that production goes to nowhere - disappears.
 
I'm pretty sure you can't use instant production for processes? I seem to recall that being discussed at some point.
 
Some feedback on the german stormtrooper:

Game is deity on a huge milae map, going for domination. Also using milae's difficulty mod and tweaks mod.

The stormtrooper can have a nice set of promotions inherited from older units. Free company into landsknechts is the best upgrade path (or longswords without tweaks mod). The extra move in enemy lands is very useful. Blitz can be useful too, but they might take too much damage and die in return. You can't just always use it. Not a bad unit alltogether.

However, compared to the former panzer Germany had, they are much weaker. They come a bit earlier, don't need oil and have more promotions carrying over. But the raw combat strength and movement as well as armor plating 2 made panzers much better when I used them. And with the right setup, you can build blitz panzers right out of the gate. They CAN use blitz all the time.

As Germany isn't one of the strongest civs, I feel the lategame muscle of the panzer was legitimate. Well, the model is being used elswhere now.

thankfully it's pretty easy to restore the panzer as Germany's UU, and I imagine restoring the UU warrior from 4uc is pretty easy too.
 
How does the spawn of Figs work for Rome?
I assume Figs cant spawn on a revealed resource, correct?
Can they spawn on a hidden resource?
Are all other spawn locations valid, including great person tile improvements?
