Cool. It looks like the modifiers from the mercantilism policy should work on the ostrog without you changing anything. Did you increase the cost of Ostrog back to 1000, or is it still 800? Did you buff it any to compensate for the later tech?

Should i reduce the culture from 4 to 3 on just the base building? I guess with it being a bastu, as opposed to a sauna, there's very little justification for requiring fresh water. I'll remove the tile requirement.

Do you prefer the 50% boost on citizen birth version then?
I only moved the tech now. If you find something bad that will need any change list me those things pls.
Spoiler Bastu :

UB - Bastu

+1:c5culture: and +1 :c5gold: from Temples, Amphitheaters and Gardens

1:c5food: from tundra and lake tiles
50% of :c5culture:culture output in city as an instant boost whenever a citizen is born
No tile requirements (baths require river)
How is that?

I prefer gold for the tile, otherwise tundra becomes indistinguishable from grassland

I don't like gold on baths. They were cultural and scientific places, right? But if you prefer gold go on it.

Did someone test Scythed Chariot? How it works?
How do you like new Progost?

If Batsu is supposed to be a place good ideas come from give it some science in replacement for some of the culture. If that was sauna ignore what i just said. Either way, you are giving them too much dependent on golden age.

Edit: nvm 15/10 is fine i think. I prefer the instant boost with no yields to tundra.

50% of culture as instant yield to both science and culture.

Not opposed to splitting the boosts with science. It mirrors how the skill doubles as a culture building as well.

We reduced the food bonus to 10% now, @doublex55, is that enough?

I wouldn’t do 50% boosts for both though. That beats the seowon to dust. 25% on both seems right. Maybe 30

Bastu is fair.

Is an accurate and fair boost for a civ with a poor start bias and helps buff them for skola.
How about this 50% culture and 50% faith?

Japan leave as it was the unique general is fitting fair and synergistic.

Shoguns and the unique citadel are more than fair.

Yamato is meh the diaymo is accurate. The unique general with something to improve mainland fits think WW2 Rick Perry Japan was fortified as ****.

I think ZULUS getting a unique constabulary would be good.

Make the building for ZULUS that would be good.

The opinion uniques have to be spread over eras is a little silly sometimes.

For the most point the old 3rd 4th uniques we're fine.

50% of :c5culture: of output in city as an instant boost to and 50%/50% :c5culture:/:c5science: whenever a citizen is born as @doublex55 said would be an interesting innovation but need lua intervention for sure (I like lua challenges btw). Give tundra yield as you like ( :c5food:, :c5science:, :c5gold: all would be fine, I think tundra should have something because of swedish starting bias).

Do you guys know where the trait changes for VP could be stored? I tried to find Celtics parameters in xml tables but there arent any so it must be lua coded. For you to kno - I try to find: "+3 :c5faith: Faith in owned Cities where your Religion is the majority." part of druidic lore". Any help welcome.

Sweden no longer has a tundra start bias. I could re-add it though. Would people want me to change Sweden back to tundra bias?

The %yields on birth is already a implemented for Korea, I can just use XML for that.

Try expansion1changes.sql maybe?

The problem with this is that unless you give it +2 yields you will not work them anyways. I agree giving science would be the best if you are set on it tho. There are sometimes quarry/mine/camp so i guess it is ok. Science and food fit the theme of the building, but we pick science to distinguish from grassland.

Actually i think it the instant yields should be as a % of science because of the other UB giving so much science later on. Also, if giving science to tiles i would have the building food instead of 1 science.

[I dont know best number here]

Uh, btw what is the bonus to temples amphitheaters and gardens doing in here. It looks like a resource bonus so i ignored it but bath doesnt have any. This should be in the coty right? Or we are having each temple, garden, and amphitheater give bonus :c5culture: and :c5gold: equal to number of Swedish cities.

The skill is a replacement for a science building that also gives culture. This is primarily a culture/gold building that also gives science. I think culture should remain the dominant aspect

The :c5culture:/:c5gold: to amphitheatres and such is on the base baths. I didn’t add or Chang want aspect of that

Do they have tundra bias in live VP? If yes, leave them as tundra. Other civs will get pushed on to tundra we moght as well let a civ with a slight tundra bonus have it.

I think give Sweden their tundra bias back, and compensate by having Bastu have reasonably good bonus to tundra(any combination of gold/culture/science as balance demands) and that 25% of science/culture when citizen is born. Doesn't even really need other extra yields from the base building, other than probably not needing river/fresh water.

This is good set for Sewdish with their starting bias brought back to tundra. It's time to program it and see if it is something we can do to balance it. IT IS TIME TO CODE :p

I just change what @doublex55 said:

[25-50]% of :c5science: output in city as an instant boost to :c5science: and :c5culture: whenever a citizen is born
to:
Spoiler Bastu :
25% of :c5science: output in city as an instant boost to :c5science: and 25% of :c5science: output in city as an instant boost to :c5culture: whenever a citizen is born
so it was intentional split :P. We will see how @pineappledan will program it.

Oh ZULUS give them a UB that grants culture food gold faith whenever city grows or expands...

A replacement for amphitheater or give them kraal UI
Grants production food culture and big bonus to cattle and horses. Already has UI texture out there.

Now what civ to discuss next! I guess i could give at coding one, tho i will need a lot of help because i havent done any modding b4

Still haven’t resolved issues with Polynesia and people have given Shoshone a pass.

I interpret the silence on Shoshone as simultaneously being fairly balanced and a lack of enthusiasm for the civ.

The tongiaki vs Koa, and fale as harbour thing hasn’t been resolved though

If you wanted to try your hand at coding, germany’s Proposal looks pretty stable and easy to code. Sort of a low-hanging fruit

I like Koa or tongiaki if we can do a UP granting combat strength to nearby land units or better yet a worker improvement speed bonus. (That would be really cool and unique)
