Sorry EQ planned to do my orders last night by wife convinced my to watch Gran Torino.
I should have stuck to my original plans.:(

Anyway Orders are in

You didn't care for Gran Torino?

Well Clint Eastwood just called me and told me to sink Brazil into the sea, so I guess I have to. Sorry Anonymous, this looks like your last update :p

On a more relevant note, I have a Utgarde Keep heroic run for the daily, so after that, updating shall commence.

The deadline has come and gone, update beginning now. Estimated time of delivery is four hours.

My apologies, it's been a long day nad I be tired. When I wake up tomorrow, will finish it off. I'd say we still have 2 hours or so left to go on it.

Let's see who has the guts to pick the Germans (I'd really like to join Denmark and Germany, but that's so ASB that I won't do it, and I like my Danish people too much to leave them, specially now that I have finished my über-project).

Two zeppelins were sent towards New Orleans to once more inspire panic and confusion, but they were met by determined artillery fire from howitzers place along the Mississippi River. One dreadnought pilot was overambitious and brought his craft too low, leading to the penetration of the lift armor by howitzer shells. The ensuing explosion brought down the dreadnought and killed the crew instantly. However, what goes up must come down. Some howitzer shells landed in Georgian territory, and neighboring batteries counterfired against the Louisianan positions following the zeppelin crash. They obliterated a Louisianan artillery battery, but for the now the fighting seems to have subsided. (-1 Zeppelin Dreadnought for Georgia, -1 Louisianan Artillery Brigade)

The problems were instant and immediate. Despite the emancipation reform of a few years back, within the colonies of Virginia, slavery remained legal. Ovambia has therefore been dominated by plantations and slave mining operations and a refuge for white settlers eager to maintain the old life style which seems to be vanishing in the industry of the twentieth century. The news that they were to become a colony of a black nation did not settle well with them. However, the warlord, canny as ever, was able to anticipate and destroy the rebel forces. REPUBLICAN ELECTIONS HELD IN CHINA AMID CHAOS. Lanzhou, Republic of China. As war continues throughout China, the government of the republic has at last determined to hold elections. Republican territory and Shanxi were the two main territories to hold the elections, but illiteracy and internal confusion made the elections a difficult process. The former leader of Shanxi, Dong Feng Rong was announced to have won the elections on behalf of the KMT. Further reports of the current government’s approval for the reentry of Korea in China has outraged many supports of the republic, which was more or less founded to fight Korea. This has led to much dissatisfaction among the various warlords of the republic and they withdrew their troops from the front to gain powers for themselves. The republic may have fallen as soon as it had begun if not for Rong’s efforts, pulling back his own forces to restore order. After a vicious campaign deep within the republic, Rong managed to achieve victory, restoring KMT control to the republic. (-54 Infantry Brigades, 6 Cavalry Brigades, 9 Artillery Brigades)

THE WAR IN CHINA. Yancheng, United Chinese Collectives. The entry of Korea once again into the conflict and internal disorder in the Republic of China have altered the war. Korea launched a massive assault on former French territory in China, securing it as a believed base of operations for future offensives. The communists used this well to their advantage and Chinese regions which had been previously under Korean occupation have risen up full force against the republican government, claiming betrayal. As the elections turned into disaster, the republican forces on the front began to thin as fighting erupted back home. This allowed the communists much needed breathing room. Thanks to the withdrawal of Rong’s army to fight insurgents, Peking has been retaken by the communist advance, securing that territory for the Collectives. Another major offensive was launched in the south against the divided republican army, forcing them back, and retaking much of the territory that was lost. They were aiding by riots and revolts against the republicans in the major towns and cities retaken. The main saving grace for the republicans was the success of the navy in taking control of China’s rivers away from the communist ships. In the south, Guangxi has been quiet, facing disorder of their own, and only minor fighting has taken place between their armies and the republic.

The casualties among SUSA freighters are beginning to increase even from last year. The Korean blockade has also continued to be efficient, stopping a large number of ships from reaching UCC ports. They were surprised however, by armed vessels, which managed to sink two Korean destroyers over the course of the year. (-2 Korean destroyers)

The Acting Arts and Reviews

The Great Leader
Genre: Comedy
Producer: Kinograd Film Company
Length: 91 minutes
Summary: This comedy, done by Russia’s leading funny man, mocks the rise of dictatorship in both France and Georgia. The leading man mimics in style and appearance the image of France’s leader, exaggerating his style of walk and speech. The story involves the fall of the democratic nation of Froggan to dictatorship and territorial disputes with other neighboring fictional nations. The most comical moment is agreed by many critics to be the grandiose attack by zeppelins against the country’s neighbor, stemmed when the leader accidently falls out of the zeppelin to become entangled in a massive poster hung up on the side of the craft to display his power.

HOCKEY: A NEW FAD? Winnipeg, Metis Syndicate. Previously unknown throughout North America and Europe, the game of hockey is beginning to gain some popularity in the northernmost parts of North America. This unusual game can only be played in the winter and requires frozen lakes, which makes the season very short and limited to only a few remote areas. The Metis teams seem to be responsible for spreading the word of this game, performing exhibition games in Canada and New France. Many agree however that the time of this fad is likely to soon pass unless someone invents a way to play the game the whole year through.

OLYMPIC GAMES. Moscow, Russian Federation. Another big surprise came from the Portuguese team which managed to win the majority of swimming events. After the final proceedings ended, the Olympic Committee was proud to announce the choice for the 1932 Olympics. The city of Cardiff, England has been picked after heated dispute and a tiebreaker vote.

EUROPEAN CUP. London, England. The Paris Football Club has once more made it to the top of the greatest European sporting event. @Nailix and flyingchicken: Nailix’s PM was rather different in regards to the trade than flyingchicken’s. Therefore nothing has been done, see note below on colonial trades, and think again.

@Lord Iggy, read the article on Hockey, quite frankly I don’t see it being a big sport yet, meaning the teams you listed don’t exist and won’t exist. Hell we don’t even have air conditioners or climate control yet.

A new tech has been added under the Industrial section. It be important.

@Justo: My mistake on your originall pricing, the amount is actually much higher for the project you outlined. I was distracted when putting that up.

A player for Germany will be determined by me and me alone. I’ve considered several previous NESers and new players who may be suited for this task, and will be sending them PMs after the update.

@germanicus12: how often do you want elections to be for Deseret? I don’t have that information recorded anywhere that I know of.

OK, it's official: I hate you, EQ! The dams were supposed to provide electricity so that more businessees were built in there and provide more jobs to the people in Nijeria and Danish East Africa!

@RoboPig, Yes, it appears your list was compelte, but did you get Dutch West Africa? I don't remember seeing that.

@Millarqui: You mean the unskilled villagers who don't want to do modern jobs and just want to continue their old ways of life? Those people for jobs? If we discuss construction of the dams, sure that provided jobs, and so does upkeeping it. But quite frankly you lack the infastructure or skilled labor to actually exploit it.
