A Brave New World Part 2

To: Virginia
From: France

No less than New Jersey's independence is a "fair peace." How could a nation which for 40 years subjugated its neighbor be doing ANYTHING but acting with aggression? Self-defense is a handy excuse for this blatant conquest.

I find genocide a more manageable and foolproof opinion to such situations, but that's just me.:D

OOC: No, it's not just you. :smug: Right now, if I were Pennsylvania, a desert in place of New Jersey would be quite appealing. Whether I'd do it or not is another matter, though...but one way or another, it's a tempting offer.:mischief:

To: France
From: Pennsylvania

We are willing to allow New Jersey independence once again, provided certain terms are met to ensure the safety of our citizens. It is only the large reparations you demand that are impeding the process of peace.

So France is suggesting that just because a nation has been under another's rule for 40 years, they have the right to act agressively. And perhaps you are suggesting that Pennsylvania should have just sat by passively and watched as New Jersey agressively harmed and harassed our shipping.

We also come to wonder why France seems to have such a vested intrest in the matters of North America. True you had made loans to New jersey, but we had offered to pay you back in full for these. True New Jersey does have a slightly larger population of French decsendance than other nations, but so does Quebec, which you do not seem to be taking such an intrest in. And the fact that most North American nations have a high English-decsended population does not mean that England intervenes everytime there is a quarrel. The days where France used it power to intervene in North America ended with the Great War. And this sudden intrest in New Jersey is just an attempt to bring back those days of French imperialism.

OOC: All those suggesting genocide need to keep in mind that a desert of New Jersey will be met with a desert in Pittsburgh.

To: Pennsylvania
From: France

Perhaps if the belligerent Pennsylvanians had agreed to the peace and compromise proposed by New Jersey, there would be no tensions. Next time, Pennsylvania should think twice before she acts like the rabid bastard nation she is.

We have invested in New Jersey and her French population appeals to our sensibilities. Quebec has long since fallen from grace, as has Louisiana. Moreover, we seek justice for our comrades abroad, and will not let communist sympathizers such as yourselves do as you will without the appropriate repercussions.

OOC: And you think New Jersey will stay loyal to you? There is a reason these countries have "fallen from grace", look at yourself. Staying loyal to France was the worst decision I have ever made.

OOC: We don't all like loose cannons, Miss Palin!

It certainly worked against the black socialists during the Tennessee Civil War.

To France
From Virginia

I fear your interference is only making things worse in the Delaware region.

To Pennsylvania, New England
From Virginia

Again, we ask Pennsylvanian forces remove themselves from New Jersey. Then we can have a discussion over the future of the region.

Were it not for our interference, then New Jersey's independence would not now even be considered.

HERE LAY THE WORDS OF THELASTJACOBITE:

The government of the Republic of New England is delighted to sign our entry into the Co-Axial Pact of Nations. We look forward to continuing our close partnership and alliance with the glorious Imperium of France.

Oh Well thats it the world has come to an end...

I seem to remember some Jacobite saying he would never join the co-axial pact, that it was they who set them up during the UNSA crises, it was they who screwed New England over time and time again. Such a reverse in diplomacy is out of character and a huge disappointment.

Plus, there goes any kind of balance to France. How boring.
