A fact about the future

Gosh I really didn't even consider lottery numbers. I suppose that says something about how little money matters to me... :p
I was thinking about who I'll be spending the rest of my life with to be honest. The idea of spending the rest of my life with someone is SO exciting and I'd love to know who that person is, so when I did find out and am with them, I can really put my all into it and KNOW it's for real.
 
You guys are fools on the lottery numbers. You can't know whether the numbers for the date you pick will be a big winner or a brand new restart just the week after a big winner.

I believe some people pluralized their wish to be dates. ;)

Me too, actually. I'd love to get my debts paid off, my dad bailed out of the nursing home and into a real house with me and the cats. I could hire a couple of people to look after him, and we could get back to as normal a life as possible, before everything went to <bad place> some years ago.

My non-materialistic choice: I would like to know how to construct (and where/how to find the materials needed), power, and use an FTL spaceship. We need to be able to get off this planet!
 
I'd like to know how I'd die. If it's set in stone, then you know nothing else can kill you. It's kind of like immortality.

True with all the info of the Super Bowl you could make a ton without the bad luck of winning the lottery simultaneously with another random person.

But what if you knowing the score of the super bowl that is still 3 years away changes the outcome! 3 years is a long time for small actions to possibly change the future :mischief:
 
Another hypothetical...
If you could choose just ONE piece of information to know about the future, either your own, or the world's in general - what would you pick? And why? Or would you not take the risk at all?
This can be anything from as simple to what your last meal will be before you die to as complicated as you like!
The only thing to remember is that this piece of information is unchangeable, once you know it, you can't stop it happening even though it's not happened yet. So the risk is there I suppose...

Wait, what's the risk?

I guess I trust my chance at love more than I trust my chance at money.

But perhaps I should reverse such a thought!

I would like to know the value of the top 10 stock market indices each year for the next 10 years on my birthday.
 
with 5 years in a row of success, you could run a massive fund and successfully make leveraged buys worth billions of personal money.
 
But, as I've argued in a previous thread, money can't buy me loooove dododododo.
I definitely trust my chance with love more than my chance with money, simply because I care about it more!
 
I'd rather cheat (that's what this is) for money than love. Cheated money, eh, if it didn't hurt anyone, who cares. Cheated love, well, something just seems off about that.
 
Mmmm I see what you mean. I guess if we're talking about cheating the system - then I'm definitely going to go into the future and find out how to invent something that'll make me more money than the lottery did... plus gain me huge esteem and fame.
 
Why does it have to be 'cheated' love?
