A moment for Strider

Whew, I went from deep sorrow to relief, I wish Strider gets OK and back in action.

My thoughs are with you buddy.

I don't know Strider but I've read the entire thread and I couldn't quit before saying something... Good luck Strider, you'll pull it through and we're all impatient that you come back here and post something!

Have a nice recovery!

His girlfriend said that Strider will be recovering in the hospital for the next 3-5 weeks (3 weeks to a month).

That's certainly great news. This makes the second great recovery I have witnessed (yes, this is an Internet forum, but this one counts too) in just over a year.

Good, good. That is a long time, but good news nonetheless.

Just give him a labtop to put him out of his misery!!!

@RealGoober - Though he might enjoy a laptop more, he could play Civ on that...

Do people normally recover so quickly after a near fatal accident? Very good news anyway.

I can now say with near certainty that this accident never happened.

Strider made a post in the succession game forum one hour after the supposed accident. He posted as normal. If that had really been posted by his girlfriend, who supposedly had no knowledge of CFC events, she would not have used "WF/CT" (which would have had no meaning to her) and she would certainly have said something about his condition, and not skipped them for inactivity.

I think that we have to face the almost certain fact that we've been lied to. :(

Do you and he live in different time zones, that could explain it. E.G. I make this post at 12:22 PM, as your timezone is fifferent you will see a different time. Don't accuse people of lying with no proof!

I live in EST, he lives in CDT. They are the same time. Also, please check the time stamp for you on both the post I linked to and the first post of this thread. I think you'll find that they're barely over an hour apart.

I quadruple-checked to make sure that I had the right day, hour, and AM/PM before posting this.

True, I didn't think of that. Plus all those other people are with Strider and posting here. I'm just glad Strider's recovering at such a rapid rate.

EDIT: Well Boots, if you checked and re-checked... I don't know.

I encourage everybody to check the two posts that I referred to and see this for yourself...you'll find that the times are barely over an hour apart. Other people's time zones don't factor into the time stamps that any individual poster sees.

These times are relative, so the time zone matters not.

Sense WF/CT hasn't been seen in awhile (in here atleast), skip them untill they finally decide to post in here again.

About 2 and a half hours ago, Strider, a member of the forums was in a critical accident.

----

That would place the accident at about 0:00 AM, over an hour before Strider made a post which is what Bootstoots is referring to.

However, Strider's GF could have made a mistake and exagerated the time delay.

Well, if this is indeed held to be true it is one of the sickest and most notorious scam jobs I've ever been inolved in. Lying about the injury of a person is not something one should do, and puts a shadow on the moral and ethical character of all human beings. People who make things up for attention are criminals in my book, and don't deserve to walk on the ground they currently stand.

Some of us have real problems that don't live in the world of fiction. Some of us have real surgeries in the comming weeks, some of us have actually been on death's doorstep. To fake such an autrocity is ludicrous and stupid.

That being said, I hope for the sake of everyone involved that this is indeed not a scam. But if it is, we have all been taken for a ride.

That could also be possible, sometimes in the heat of the moment, facts get messed up.

This is starting to sound like the prosecution and defense arguing over circumstantial evidence now...

Another thing: Strider's GF made a post in the DG forum stating that truckingpete (a DG member) should take over for him. There are only two ways that this could have happened: if he told her before the accident that, in the event that he was incapacitated, she should go online and tell truckingpete to take over or that he somehow told her or somebody who told her while in the ER that truckingpete should take over in the DG, even though he was by all accounts babbling incoherently at that time.

This whole story is extremely implausible when you add up everything that was said to have happened.
