A New Dawn Beta Builds

Just an FYI, I have a RoM 2.9 & AND merge working right now, but I'm testing it, and I have completely removed Better RoM for the time being, since a lot of the buildings have either already been fixed, and whatnot. I'll need to evaluate it for a while before you see any releases.

I can only imagine how tough that will be to sort out.

Are you going to keep your resource changes in?
 
Is there any way in Multiplayer to make the AI not suck so bad at manufactured goods???

 
Sure, that's also with no golden ages for either of us 2 human players
 
Will do...it just seems like every game we've played the AI has hit a 'brick wall' and just starts to absolutely suck. It's weird because they were still teching at a pretty decent rate but for someone reason it just seems like they aren't producing anything.
 
WildFire, just curious, do you have Domesticated animals turned on when installing?

I have feeling that AI tends to suck from middle game and further on due to not using those food and production bonuses (btw, im not going to turn it on in my next game, i think they are overpowered). Also, for early medieval game - caste+slavery=killer combo if you can manage happiness, they give huge bonus to production and food. Not sure if AI utilizes it properly.
 
neither of us ever use Slavery and we hardly ever do Caste (don't think we did at all that game).

We used "reccomended MP" during AND install, so whatever is in that is what we used. We also didn't use any golden ages
 
Yea we had a few ground rules including no golden ages so we couldn't leap retardedly far ahead of the AI....but did it anyway on a difficulty we hadn't tried yet.

As he said, we use recommended MP so not sure if that includes domesticated or not. When we get some time we're gonna try the new ROM version without AND to see how the AI does there.

Os79 and anyone using an alpha build, I fixed the CTD bug. Grab the latest sources, and make sure to do a CLEAN recompile.

Could you give me a more detailed description of your updating? I only updated the file "CvGame.cpp" in the sources folder, and it changed the code for event updateGame that I metioned. Is that what you mean?
