A PETA ad that is too sexy

NBC's rejection was a great boon to PETA and their ad campaign. Look at all the publicity they've received without paying a dime to NBC.

Btw, isn't this story really old? I remember talking about this months ago.

It it only lives on thanks to it being THE SIXTH SUPERBOWL VICTORY OF THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS!!!!

I just watched the ad. That was "too sexy" ?

Come on.. that was tame! and funny!

Obviously they have something against peta in particular.

If you watch the CNN one with analysis they bring out Paris Hilton doing an ad for a fast food company it is disturbing...

PETA is good at publicity.

Ecoterrosts will try anything to seek sympathy.

If I didn't know any better, I'd say PETA is making assumptions that meat eaters are stupid cavemen that are only motivated by what's in their pants.

How do you make that assumption? The ad says veggies have better sex. If anything, THEY are the ones motivated by what's in their pants!

Well I would think that if PETA had that assumption, they'd just be appealing to the meat eaters supposed mind set.

Why is this being brought up now? The ad is rather old.

I remember several pundits saying it should have been rejected not for being to racy, but for making claims they cannot back up. Apparently the PETA argument is that people who eat a lot of red meat tend to have high cholesterol, blood pressure, etc., which can make an erection more difficult. While that is true, it doesn't apply to those with a moderate meat intake. Also, vegetarians often miss out on some proteins that are important to the libido so their sex lives tend to not be as good as those of those who eat a moderate amount of meat.

Does this talking head strike anybody else as being a bit too strident?

There was an ad I saw a while ago with pictures of fruit and veg made to look like sex/ejaculation. I remember it being quite funny but I can't find it on YouTube.

If we banned every ad from TV because it couldnt back up a claim, there would never be any commercials.

The problem with PETA is that they are hypocrites. On one hand they say that they are against killing animals and yet on the other they do that. There are plenty of animal welfare organisations that are better than PETA, but they are just the loudest.

If you knowingly give money to a terrorist, that makes you a terrorist. PETA has provided financial support to ELF and ALF. Just in case you were wondering why I made that statement.

First of all PETA isn't a terrorist organisation. Bush doesn't decide the meaning of words.Terrorism is violence for the purpous of creating havoc and chaos and exploiting that havoc and chaos.

Rebellion, insurgency, sabotage and other things aren't terrorism.
Secondly, you aren't a terrorist if you support a terrorist. You are a supporter of terrorism.

Just wanted to put something in that washed brain of yours.

PETA is at most a suporter of the Animal Liberation Front which in turn engages in a military struggle against what it sees is a murdering and horrendous industry. Something completely different from terrorism.
