Oh yeah the glory of their economy...
Look, look, employment was higher! Never mind that it has a higher population, the nominal rate of employment is higher! USSR WINS!

At the Chernobyl Nuclear Plant they had an excess of engineers, so many that a large number of them sat around playing cards all night.
Incorrect, I dont wish to see a nanny state and I dont want to work one day a week. Why do you think I desire a full time job working 40 hours a week insted of various days on a Permtemp scedualCG, you are one of those people who believe in a nanny state, i.e. that you can do no wrong and obviously the big bad businessmen have exploited you. Obviously the state should provide you with a job with money that you "deserve" (what does this entail, a six-digit salary and free housing and you only have to work Wednesday for six hours?)
And have me wait another six months to take the test again, eventhough I already payed for the fees for the test. You didn't have to take this vaguely defined "test". The employer doesn't have to let you do that, you know.![]()
Flip-Flop and Flip-flopping is SOOOOOOOOO 2004In either case you've flipflopped so many times in the past, and your position on economics has changed as well.
I dont have a core principles on economics, it mainly changes depending on my possition, That and I dont understand what Capitalism is.You used to be a rabid socialist/communist until you got that casino job or whatever. Then you proudly proclaimed to me, "Lighty, I love capitalism now!" That is until now. Now you're back to being socialist again. I don't understand how your core principles can change so much depending on your position. It's like, you expect the state to provide for you until you get what you want, then you want the state to stop doing it so you can get what you want.
I am at the mercy of my employer.
If I cannot provide that service, I should not be terminated from the position.
Workers should be protected from unjust terminations.
Yes. Unemployment is not a good thing for anyone.
And have me wait another six months to take the test again, eventhough I already payed for the fees for the test.
And GDP per capita was lower!Look, look, employment was higher! Never mind that it has a higher population, the nominal rate of employment is higher! USSR WINS!
But they all had JOBS, which is the important part in CivGeneral's mind! They were all being PAID more than what they were worth (nothing).
Look, look, employment was higher! Never mind that it has a higher population, the nominal rate of employment is higher! USSR WINS!
I think this snippet right here demonstrates the problem very clearly. If I cannot provide that service, I should not be terminated from the position. Workers should be protected from unjust terminations.
No, because you think North Korea and Cuba are successful economies. Why? Just because I rejected Capitalism?
Is your last name Tito?My family and friends testify of a better life in Yugoslavia than here in Sweden.
By this standard, the U.S. remains a far more prosperous place than many nations--in which the poor are not merely penniless and homeless, but also suffer from the following:About the U.S.
I'd rather live in Venezuela or Cuba than there.
You have achived nothing if so many of your people are below the poverty line. A nations prosperity can only be judged by those who have it the worse, not those who have it the best.
Permatemps are different than temps. They are between temporary workers and part time workers. No you aren't. There's two simple words - "I quit.". Temporary positions mean just that - temporary. Try getting a government job doing clerical work (which sounds like what you do now). Those are full time, and have benefits.
NoI run a software company that creates software (not really - this is hypothetical). I get this kid that's really, really eager and wants to be a programmer. There's a 6 month grace period where he learns. He just doesn't "get it" (his code is buggy, he doesn't have the patience, etc.). This software is given to hospitals, so patients lives are dependant on it. Do I keep this employee, even though his buggy code might cost the life of a patient?
NoShould an airline hire a dog groomer to fly their plane without any flying experience? Should a hair salon hire a street cleaner to cut someone's hair?
NoOk, how about this? Let's say you hire someone to clean your house. Instead, they sit on your sofa, and eat pizza all day. Are you still going to pay them?
No! I would not fire the employee if he was in the wrong religion.Including the guy 1 year ago that you said (in the chatroom - I have logs!) if you were the employer, you would fire because he was the wrong religion?
I retract that statement that they are successful economies. No, because you think North Korea and Cuba are successful economies.
