I extracted all the religion files to the mod folder, and now the game tells me its missing xml files, and the great wonders of the civelopedia isnt showing up anymore.
Is there an extra step I need to do?

Can you tell me which XML files are missing or a screen shot of the messages?

Wait a minute I forgot to say that you need to run woc_installer.jar in the "Rise of mankind/Assets/Modules" folder. This merges the new sounds in, that may be the problem.

If it does not fix it ASAP, I am off bush for Christmas, I go where there is no internet connection :)
 
running the woc_installer fixed the error reports. But the great wonderpage in the civelopedia is still blank.

edit: its seems the shintoandshamanism module is the culprit. Any idea how I can fix it?

I wonder if something is just alittle off in the religion area? Or if WoC has a limit on how many you can have?

Cause i made a fresh copy of RoMF 2.81 and added AND and played to over 300 turns no random errors.:)

So i put in all the religions/units/buildings from you and i have 2 random crashes before turn 200 already?

Ah ha. Looks like I did not put in the WoC dependancy checks that only activate parts of the XML if other mods are available. ShintoAndShamanism has interacts on the Beautification mod by Afforess. Sorry. You will either need to get that mod or not play with the new improved Shinto. I will fix it when I get back in the new year.

I have played a full game with all of these with no problems at all. I also have played one game where I get a repeatable CTD. I will be chasing down the CTD when I get back in the new year.
 
I have noticed that SOME of your buildings are the almost same as Afforess ones, ie: Moat/Siege towers, etc?? I believe these are causing problems.

Actually AAranda stole them from me. I'd appreciate it if you removed those. ;)

So what! They are not the same so people should be able to choose which they want to use... Rest deleted because I probably should not do any replying just after a 12 hour drive in high summer.
 
Hey guys,

I'd like to post some questions, wishes and suggestions for future improvements for RoM Modmods or even AND:

- Wish: Is that possible to include other leaders to Civilizations that have just one leader? I'd like to ask especially Pachacutec for Incas'.

- Wish: I insist in adding a little bit of more corporations. The game is bigger (more techs, units, buildings, resources), there are fantastic 22 religions and just the same 7 corps. It's a shame cause for RoM 2.7 and 2.71, there is a pack including more 10 corps, but it isn't avaiable for RoM 2.8/2.81.

- Suggestion: You should change the art for some Wonders. For instance, there is a more realistic art for the Sphinx avaiable for other mods in this forum. The same happens with Hagging Gardens and Machu Picchu.

- Question: If a buy the new Windows 7, will I have any kind of problems to play Civ 4 and RoM or AND?

Anyway, I'd like to congratulate and thaks for making a so special job improving Civ 4 and making it a much better game.
 
Two new patches out, one for buildings and the other for religions. They fix errors in the FLAVORS being wrong or incorrectly spelt. See first post.

Also the default buildings now includes the AND patch for some reason there were complaints about some of AAranda's buildings which are also in AND. I assume people were not applying the patch. If you are not using AND and/or Afforess' castle mod then you will have to turn them on again by editing the MLF in the modules/aaranda/custom_buildings folder.
 
Two new patches in the first post one for buildings and one for religions. They fix problems I discovered only while debugging and only affect the AI logic.

There may be a problem with AAranda's defensive units I added to units pack. It needs more testing. I think I will need to make these modular anyway since Strategyonly is working on a new set of sniper units and you will need to be able to choose between his and AAranda's.
 
Warning - A work in progress at the moment.

At time two modmods contain the same building and you will need to choose which one you want. There are two basic ways of doing this eithe delete (or move) the folder containing one version of the building or edit the MLF files so you can select. Both methods have problems especially when you forget to reapply the changes when a new update comes out.

Example AAranda and GeneralStaff both have a Terracota Army Great Wonder. See images below for the effects of each and what happens if you have both. Yes in this case you can have both :)

I have been finding some spelling errors which have been causing minor problems and there may be something wrong with Zoroasterism.

Buttons and most art incorrectly done show up in the civlopedia which is how I test that part of the mods.

Where did you find these error messages? Knowing that will help me improve my testing in future.

Some of the movies will not work anyway - especially the ones for the holy shrine. This is a feature of RoM because in RoM they are not great wonders because of the wonder limit. I have a mod that makes most of the RoM religions great wonders but have not made one for AAranda's religions yet. I will make it a patch and upload it here.

If I get round to it I will post a direct link to Arian's movie zip for each movie and indicate exactly where they need to be placed. I will have to check my doco because I thougt I only mentioned that in my extra movie pack :)
