AAranda's mods for 2.8 (some of them)

the error reports when shintoandshamanism is on:

Well, I had the same problems in the end of the last year, so I've started a game not using shintoandshamanism. You mentioned that you were going to work to fix it. Is that ok now?

Another problem: When I tried to run the RoM with shintoandshamanism just to know it, I remember that there was a problem in the tech tree, because the tech Military Trainning was laying over half of the tech Meditation. Is that fixed?

Other problems that are smaller things, but maybe you can clarify:

- The "El Dorado" wonder is pink when you see the building in the Sevopedia. I coudn't see it in the game how it is.

- Why don't the wonders related to the andenism religion ("Machu Picchu" and "Choquequirao") appear in the tech tree? It happeens normally for other religion, for instance, the wonders related to aztec religion ("Pyramid of the Sun" and "Pyramid of the Moon") are in the Calendar Tech? Could you explain why this difference happens?

- When I received my first Great Prophet, I looked the buttons of Holy Shrines avaiable and almost all of the religions Holy buildings were there but the Coricancha (Andenian Holy Shrine) wasn't. Is that normal? Why does it happens?

Just to finish: I'm pro more corporations in the game. I'll try the new file to see how it is.

The ShintoAndShamanism mod only works if you have the A New Dawn installed. I thought I had mentioned that in the doco. Having AND installed will also fix the tech tree structure since I put the Shamanism and Geomancy in place after the AND moved techs around.

I have looked at this one but can't figure out what has gone wrong. I think I may need to download the building again if I can find it.

I thought they did. It sometimes happens if a building has two prerequsite techs. I will look into it.

It means that I forgot to copy the GP action in to the Andean part of the mod.
 
Oh dear, this is going to take a little longer to fix than I thought. There is no building graphic that I can find for "El Dorado" so it looks like we are stuck with the pink form until AAranda can tell us what building he used or I can figure out the graphics stuff. So far I have just been referencing it without understanding.

The Prophet action is there and I checked that I had not spelled something wrong but it is all fine. So I don't know why it is not working. I will have to play a game and figure out what is going on here and with the tech tree stuff. But this will not be for a few days.

Well, Ifinished the installing process of AND, but when I try load the mod, my windowns is closing the BTS. I really don't know what happens. I use the Vista at home. Do you have an idea what can be done to solve it?
I'll try to install updates for windows, but I really don't know if it's gonna work.

And You really mentioned that ShintoAndShamanism would only work using AND. But, is there the possibility to make it work for ROM 2.8?

Neither appear in the tech tree because neither require a tech. I assume this is because this religion is founded so late that any relavent tech should already be discovered.

I am not sure as I have XP. You could look in the AND Frequently asked questions thread and see if there is something there about Vista.

It should be possible. Do i drop the geomancy tech or change its properties? Either way it should only be one file change so I could put it out as a patch.

I am saying that I can do it. The easiest would be to just drop Geomancy :) since that uses AND features. Or I could just drop those bonuses that apply to AND or rely on AND SDK changes.

IDK if I am posting where I don't belong, but it seems like your asking if you can use AND, but without AND. Couldn't you just download it and uncheck all the features you don't want, and then go on your merry way, or am I missing something here?

Unfortunately I'm having problems to use AND. It's installed but when I load the mod my windows is closing the game. I don't have the idea how to fix it.
So, I'm playing the RoM 2.81, and the religion modpack. It runs perfectly with all new units, wonders, religions.
But, when I change the MLF_CIV4ModularLoadingControls.xml file to use the shintoandshamanism instead of the shinto only, appears some error files after loading the mod:

Besides that, the tech tree has a small problem: the half of Meditation tech is below the Military Training one. They are juxtaposed.

I asked mr. Dancing Hoskuld why these things happen and he told me that it happens because the shintoandshamanism option would only work using AND, not RoM.

Finally, I asked him if he could just fix the problems to use the full modpack in RoM without the need of using AND.

Perhaps I do.

Number 1 Problem is Win7/Vista. Make sure you run as Administer or turn off UAC.
Number 2 Problem is incorrect installation.

If you could give me some specifics, I could help you sort it out.

Would you be interested in merging in these with some Rapture religions and not using techs at all for them? Just beginning with civilizations or buildings?
 
Well, mind you, I'm still sorting a lot of things out here, even where graphics are concerned, but yeah, I'm looking into how to do the graphics side. I used to 3d model some and have some clue there, as well as being rather proficient with 2d graphics. Could be fun. A lot of changes in the works in my life atm but I can try to make some time for it. Keep me posted on progress with those corps... vincentz would be nice too!

Sorry, I don't really know how modding works or if I installed it correctly.

It means you don't have AAranda's Buildings or Afforess's Castle or AND mod installed. A silly assumption on my part. I'll post a new version shortly, I was making them fully modular anyway.
 
A new version of AAranda's units has been uploaded see the first post. If defensive siege units are causing some problems remove their folder. All unit groups are modular I.E. all the sniper units are in one folder and the entertainer units are in another.

Err. It added two more dialogs which says

If it would help, I changed my "Language for non-Unicode programs" from English to Japanese.

I'm going to install A New Dawn. Yeah.
 
Have you tried a reinstall? Completely remove RoM and re-extract all the mods, one by one.
