In Poland, Ultranationalist and communist groups have been discredidted by a large campaign orchestrated by what is assumed to be the democratic parties. Communist and nationalist feeling in Poland has been at an all time low and stablity in Poland has increased.

In Lithuania Polish infulences has been increasing as another propoganda campaign began there. Lithuania is now split 50-50 on opinions towards Poland and the FSSR.
In the newly named Scandinavia, the first census of the nation was held, many have drawn parralels to William Of Normandy and his Domesday book. Amoung other things it showed the confidence of the people in the government was lower than expected, however the scandinavian culture has recently been brought into focus and is actually higher than previosuly though.

In a move that shocked many, The British government recently took out the largest loan in history, the combined loans of the worlds 5 largest banks have agreed to lend Britian a total of 12 Billion. (er yes thats 12 eco points). The banks have full confidence in the worlds most powerfull Power in being able to pay back all the debts and the interest. However many native Britons have been screaming bloody murder and many leading economics have questioned the sanity of such a move.

The Indian revolt has publicly anounced its name to the world as the Greater Nationalist Indian Reveloutionary Liberation Army or GNIRLA for short(er). A British diplomat was reported to have said, off record, that accepting such a name would give legitimicy to the revolt, and he said he would be advising his superiors to simply refer to it as a revolt rather than lend it legitimicy.
The GNIRLA has accused the British of assasinating Ghandi and has been spreading rumours and articles on British atrocities. Other leaflets describe how the Indians should not pay taxes as it does not benefit them. This has further polarised the people into choosing either the British or the GNIRLA.
However the British offer of paying for independance has gathered many to the British side, beleiving such a peacefull resolution to the conflict is best. As a result the Muslim Clerics have decried the revolt and their violent ways, suggesting that this way is best. This has caused an unitended religious split, as the GNIRLA has failed to capture a large portion of Muslims to their side. This offer of Independece has also caused some of the more moderate members of the GNIRLA to disband and become normal civilians

Haiti Attempted to invade its neighbour, but the USA intervened, considering it too close to home, After light casualties (-1 division all combatants involved), there is now a USA patrolled line, and Hatati is reforming, additionaly this has presseurise Cuba into seeking closer links to Mexico.

Greece has finally took over the rest of its homeland. The Italians crumbeled after a large initial meatgrinder, (think WW1 battle of the Somme), was finally broken by rebels in the Greece cutting off supply routes. Italy lost a large reserve of men as POW. And Greece Won back its homeland. Peace was sought, and Greece tired of this war, and looking to other objectives agreed, after Italy signed over all territories it had captured, and paying military reperations. Unfortunatly for the people, Greece has remained a Military Dictatorship. Large amounts of The Empire reborn Propoganda is being distributed amoung the populance. It appears that the Greek Dictator wishs to recreate the Byzantium Empire.

In a geographically related note, France intervened in Turkey, as the Turkish armies Anti Insurgency operation kept cutting into their Territory. This caused the French to assure the Kurds a protecterate status, and to give them some of their middle eastern territory. With this things have begun to settle down, but there are still many Insurgent fighting on, demanding the total destruction of the Turkish State.

Portugal an already unstable state, was taken over by the Army in a Militry coup. They further justified this action by stating that they were so poor because of Spain. And invaded. What followed was a suprise assult upon the Spainish navy with the Portugese home fleet. The Azores were also seized with minimal resistance. The Portugese attempted a quick assult to Madrid, but fell short of their objective, the result being a digging of trenches and what appears to be a long drawn out struggle. In attempt to break the deadlock, Portugese agents incited and armed the Basques to rebel, promising them an Independent country. But this has failed to prove the turning point and it has settled down for the year.

The Russian officer in charge, being gifted with reasonable intelligence, realised that he could easily be cut off at this, rate pretended not to receive FSSR orders to entrench and pulled back to a more sustainable line.

However the naval battle sided with the FSSR, extensive mining kept FSSR casualties low.

On the opposite side of Russia, Realising that the FSSR have no naval capacity in the East, made two naval Incursions North of the river. Whilst simultionsly holding the river. The FSSR however feinted on the river, giving the Japanese a false sense of security. However they invaded Mongolia, quickly overrunning it, and then procceded to smash into the japanese's Flank, the Japanese fell back until the front stabalised about halfway through Manchuria.

In South America, things have gone mad. The accumelation of state building up weapon stockpiles has lead to a series of Invasions. Brazil Finished its Military Campaign in Venezuala early and utterly crushed it, Venezualian command simply broke down and there was a lack of Troops on the Ground.

Brazil procceded to invade Uruguay, or to put it simply, occupy it, resistance offered by the Uruguay army was minimal, and Uruguay was crushed under the Brazillian foot.

Silver that is not the stupidist thing that happneed if you look ovber RL Insurgency incidents in the colonies, the best way to keep control was to compromise listen to what teh people wanted and start moving in that direction. Thus if they want more freedom make them more independent. etc.
