What do you think to be the ages for smoking cigs, drinking and smoking weed and driving cars and having sex?
driving:18
smoking :14
drinking:14
smoking weed:16
having sex:14
But does anyone cares about those legal ages?
 :p

driving: Illegal
smoking :Illegal
drinking:Illegal
smoking weed:Illegal
having sex: Illegal

That's how it would be in my country.

There's always cloning...

Anyway here's what I would really do.

driving:17
smoking :18
drinking:18
smoking weed:Illegal
having sex:18

Yeah I know! I'm a party pooper.

driving:16
smoking :99
drinking:13
smoking weed:16
having sex:13

The funny thing about the last one. A friend of mine lives in England. At age 16 you are legally alllowed to have sex, but you are only allowed to buy porn at age 18 ;)

Driving: 18 or 20
Smoking: 14 (banned in public places)
Alcohol: 14 (no age limit in the family circle)
Weed: 14
Sex: 14 (with people not older than 18, don't want to legalize paedophilia)

Driving : 15-16
And thats all, all the rest are only to the young person to choose.

driving:16
smoking : illegal
drinking: 21
smoking weed: illegal
having sex: ages within 2 yrs of each other until both parties are over 18

So people 13 of age or below, won't be allowed to neither touch themselves nor others.

Hmm. A rule, that can no be enforced is more than fluent. It is superfluous.

Or maybe a certificate of basic biological knowledge should be required before you're allowed to, uhm, well, you know what...

;)

:nono: think! Sex BETWEEN persons!

and the rule is being enforced to prevent pervert from molesting kids very well!

A legal age is just that, a legal age. It's the age at which someone can legally give his or her consent to sex, which is important when it comes to determining if something is abuse or not.

Sex: 18 (don't enforce it though)

I say we make that the magic number. ;)

That's a bit late, ain't it, given the fact that biologically, girls are supposed to have their babies between 16 (+/-3) and 24 (+/-3) when they are fully grown but their bones can still repair damage from a pregnancy qucikly and effetively!

Also, making people NOT do it during puberty, when the interest in it is highest AND when they should learn about it (before they have to do it in earnest to get kids) is pretty dumb, I think! And, impossible, too!

I know a guy who is a deputy in a certain US state and he has to sit on the state border in his patrol car each Saturday night ticketing speeding kids (if you trust them with a car, why can't you trust them with a beer or a condom?) that leave the state so what they then will do is not illegal  :o

I think we should have a standardized legal age for all these things, in all the states. 16 or 18 take your pick.

driving: 17
smoking : 18
drinking: 12 in family circle, 18 in public places
smoking weed: 18
having sex: 12 lower limit, illegal beyond +/- 3 years until 18

Driving: 16
Smoking: 15
Drinking: 18 (that way, people would finish school rather than develop early alcoholism and spend all the time drunk).
Pot: 18 (same reason).
Sex: 14, both hetero & homo. (People boast of doing it at that age anyway. Besides, "underage" sex and resulting teenage pregnancy wouldn't seem so attractive to rebellious kids if it wasn't illegal!)

Well I did say don't enforce it. :mischief:

Anyway I only meant that number as the start of statutory rape. I think the system should be same as it is, only don't punish 19 year olds for having sex with 17 year olds (make some kind of +/- 5 year rule).

Really all these rules are only for show though, this is unenforcable and should be.

Or to make a rule that really matters, let condom and contraceptive buying start at 14 or 15...
