Aelf, if you want to continue to entertain us you can do it there. I think the record of this thread speaks for itself. How many links did you actually provide ? Your argument about Red Cliff was with someone else, I was only pointing out you were being a bit of an A-hole about it. If you get so peed off at thinking your suggestions were ignored, while I was supposed to be a mountain of patience, repeating my explanations; then practice what your preached to me ! I tried to include you but you have opted for this non-role. Like I said, either shut up or accept the challenge, (which makes the big game all the more personal )

Dude, you don't get it, do you? I've already told you what your problem is before this. Let me be clear once more.

You displayed a consistent habit of either not reading or misreading (maybe misrepresenting?) others' points, such as on the CKN issue (which I had stated is pretty unimportant to me since the beginning).

Moreover, you would sometimes discuss something for some time, but shortly after you'd paper over the problem with some weak reasoning, especially when you've been discussing something else for a while. Or you'd simply seem to forget about it.

These are why I said you effectively ignored my points. If your purpose is to construct a situation where it's most favourable for the Greeks before coming to and on the field of battle, then go ahead. But don't complain when people don't like it. I have also said as much.

And then you (yes, you were in it too) decided to be snide about some comments I made about some films, as if no one can say bad things about movies that you happen to like. Yeah, that certainly helped with the tone of the discussion

You weren't even the most blindly pro-Alexander, so this hypothetical was generally just badly framed, badly discussed and badly handled. I'm definitely adding my voice to the "iugula" crowd, but I'm sure you knew that by now.
