It's very simple math... On earth: You've got one specie: Humans. Then you've got millions of other species: NOT humans. And the overwhelming majority of those, aren't even remotely humaniod.

Yes, maybe there are some aliens who are humaniod, and they are intelligent, but before we'll enoucnter them, we'll have to first find millions more mundane aliens.

You're not making any sense. We're still THE intelligent species on Earth. We wouldn't be making contact with insects on foreign planets, would we? We'd be meeting the intelligent species, the dominant species, of those worlds. It seems perfectly logical to assume that life would develop similarly in other places in the universe; even if there is more than one "path," there are still going to be species that are humanoid in nature. Unless, of course, you're suggesting that at sometime in the future, insects or birds are going to overtake humans as the intelligent species on Earth.

What I am saying is this:

1. We'd have to go through alot of empty planets, with no life.
2. The planets that do have life will mostly only have simple bacteria.
3. The planets that have more then simple bacteria will usually only have un-intelligent life.
4. The planets that do have intelligent life it will not resemble humaniods.
5. Then after we've gone through all that we just might get something that looks like an alien as holloywood depict it.

I dunno.... I think it is fake too but, I was watching them (the TLC channel) consult with this guy who does that kind of stuff for hollywood he did - men and black and some other stuff he is supposed to be the best guy out there and he said he was so impressed he would hire the guy who made that if he meet him.

Well, since the subject here is an alien spacecraft on Earth, I'd say walking up to them and saying "how ya doin ol' chub?"

Oh, I'm quite aware of what you're saying. It's just too bad you keep presenting your mere opinion as your backing, whereas mine, while equally unprovable, at least has its roots in logic.

I don't understand why people are so certain that life elsewhere wouldn't develop similarly to Earth's pattern. It's obviously a way that works, and even if it's not the only way that intelligent life could come about, it's certainly one of them, so even if all aliens didn't look at least similar to a human, there would be some out there that would be fairly humanoid in nature.

Because there are so many different possibilities and we're a product of evolution over hundreds of millions of years due to adaptation toward our environment. Although possible for a alien to evolve toward some sort of humanoid look (there are animals that have done it here that belong to different branches such as octopus and squids), conditions would have to be exactly right over many millions of years. It is much more likely that they would evolve to look like something different.
