Because Lithuania was at that time a sparsely populated forest with less then around 100,000 people in total? compared to our around 10-15 Million people?

Pah, the Lithuanian nobility were essentially Ruthenian anyway, and they were hardly irreverent.

We must coin a new term... it's probably been said before, but, "Polandjacking." :lol: If Poland is mentioned in any historical context, it will somehow take over the thread, be it through the Central/Eastern Europe debate, or the "Poland once controlled ___" argument. No offense to theLastOne or any other resident Poles, of course. :)

@West36:

DANG! O.O That's a mutated Europe. Thank the Reds for Chernobyl.

To be honest with you, I don't think it could! :lol:

I like how you can see the British Isles as hills. ;) Also, I approve of the big "MIRKWOOD" text at the north (RL Finland)! :goodjob: Also, interesting how Helm's Deep is in France, Isengard is in Germany/Denmark, and you can even see the Danube across RL Hungary (although it goes in the wrong direction afterwards :p).

Edit: So apparently I've been to Mount Doom when I visited the Bihor mountains in Romania!
So here's how Mount Doom looks like, in real life:

Quite a change of landscape after the big guy was defeated! :p

Nice map!

Ha, I knew it! I always knew that I actually live in Isengard :) !

Is Moria on the right spot, though? Seems slightly displaced to me. I think they meant something else, but I forgot the name.

This map makes me think... is it possible that dear Tolkien actually intended these connections? *conspiracy*

edit: and here is proof! Not far away from my home is the very Tower of Isengard - this is what it looks like now:

your late. Go back to 2007 if you want to see some real Polish Hijacking. Nowadays it's just people bringing it up whenever i post in a thread just to piss me off.

I made a map of what the world would look like if all countries had a population between 20 and 50 million.
