Altered Maps 2: Uber-Yugoslavia FTW

I created 36 maps of an imaginary world I created, spanning from 4000BC to 375AD to tell the geopolitical history of this imaginary world. The Year for this map is 375AD

Nations, which are similar in culture, are similar in colour. The "colour-culture" of the country is determined by the culture of the elite who is ruling the country. I was really bored.

Grey Areas are areas fit for large support of human population
Also the Green areas of France-Germany are a seperate culture group from the ones around Greece. But the Green areas in Southern Russia and Ukraine are the descendants of the colonies of the Green Greece. Anatolia has two groups, blue-green and green. Spot the difference

Arronax, where did you get that map? I think i'm going to try making my own imagenary world to. :)
The NES forum; it's North King's style of the Winkel Tripel projection map. Here's a link to the Map Thread.

Time for a thread revival! Whipped this up when I shoulda been doing coursework. :mischief:

Take it how you will, I tried my best to separate countries by color, but it gets hard after a while. Some of the highlights are:

Balkanised Spain. Certain people will be happy at the East. ;)
Großdeutschland, as is standard. Observe how it's colonies are all over the map. Deutschland über alles!
Finally, a revived Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The majority of it is in Eastern Europe.

Yeah Catalonia is probably better off under the sea than part of Spain :mischief:

I won't ask any questions of that map, it doesn't appear to be based on reality at all.

Well actually, Catalonia's just a light shade of yellow, but I was afraid some people might find it hard to see... ah well.

No, not really, since when was reality > fantasy? :p This is a Civilization Fanatics forum! Instead of looking at the dull history of the world, make your own. ;)

I pretty much just splattered a bunch of paint on a map of Europe, combining/dissolving random countries, while establishing some borders that were aesthetically appealing... a few independence movements here and there... yeah, pretty much just me on drugs + Microsoft Paint. :D

Poland taking over Moscow? :) A United Germany long before it was actually supposed to united?

But i wouldn't care since me, and 90% of the Polish population would be German.

If my maps are right, this neo-Commonwealth's eastern border extends just a tad into Russia, but if Russia misbehaves(which it will, of course), Germany could always authorise Poland to move all the way to Moscow... :mischief:

I gave no specific time period for this map, so it can be whenever you wish it to be. :) For all we know, it could be like the AGCEEP-MyMap mod, where you can unite Germany in the early 1500s and thus have it exist alongside a Commonwealth! :D

Seeeee? Poles and Germans can get along! ...Well, until the Russians are dealt with anyway. Then it's back to square one. Politics for you.

I don't like how Lithuania always gets the shorter end of the stick in people's minds...

Because Lithuania was at that time a sparsely populated forest with less then around 100,000 people in total? compared to our around 10-15 Million people?
