It's inhabited by what passes for Lowland Scots in this time. It's Ystrad Clud/Strathclyde.
To elaborate, it was a Brythonic (proto-Welsh, essentially) kingdom situated in what is now the Scottish Lowlands, centred around the Clyde Valley (hence the name) and holding influence over most of the South-West. In this scenario, it seems to have extended it's influence across most of the Lowlands, Borders and North-East England, pre-empting the emergence of Anglic Bernicia in doing so.
I wonder if substantial Gaelic or Pictish kingdoms would be likely to emerge in this scenario, given that, in both cases, their original heartland lay outside of the depicted territory of Strathclyde?

You mean, in Scotland? The Picts haven't really got an organized government going yet.

Granted, but it's only a century or two until they do in the original timeline, as did the Gaels. I'm just wondering whether or not the existence of a strong regional power such as this timeline's Strathclyde would preclude that. As I said, in both cases, they were centred outside of alt-Strathclyde, and so may still emerge as rivals or vassals.

Yeah, it'll probably happen sooner or later; Strathclyde itself is newer than it was in OTL, FWIW.

Why is Axum so big?

edit

I also see that it lost some land to Egypt.

edit2

Is the capital Massawa? Why did you move it from Axum-city?

So they traded Eastern Europe for the Eastern Pacific? Fools.

According to this map, it's in Northern Europe...

Only part of it... the part they took from Germany after ww2.

Most of it, and the historical parts of it, are in the Ukraine :p

Curses! Not even Risk can solve my problems!

What kind of risk board has "Alberta", "Ontario", and "Quebec"?
Or Svaltbard, Hawaii, Phillipines, New Zealand, and the Falkland Islands?

Poland as a tropical Island in the pacific far from any Ruskies or Nazi's?
Instead the Americans will topple your government and install people who will choose annexation.

Alberta, Ontario and Quebec are pretty standard on a Risk Board. The islands...not so much.

As a Canadian I have only seen Western, Central, and Eastern Canada.

The board my dorms has looks exactly like that minus the islands, and the fact that Nunavut (or whatever it's called) isn't in.
