Um... well... not quite, although I might as well make things easier to you and admit it that the Ottomano-Byzantinish Empire there is really the Rumidid Bulgarian Caliphate (Muslim Bulgaria, basically).

That looks like VIking britain to me..

That sort of explains the Gaelic Britain, and the Rumadids, I guess...and it definitely explains the Cordoban Spain with colonies.

Oh, and did I mention that this map looks mind-bendingly fun?

Good point. Still, I think I'd like to get a little more experience before starting a NES of my own. Though if/when I do mod, I'll probably do it with one of das' amazing PoD maps.

I'm going to guess that the greenish state in Eastern Europe is the Golden Horde, or the Greenish Horde I guess,
() and the central Asian states are also Mongolian. Not really sure what to think about China...

China is probably still Ming Dynasty, except something went wrong with driving Mongols completely out of china... Not sure how they got japan though o_0
