What honor does a government that slaughters peaceful protesters have? Absolutely none.
Bound by my own honor, not the governments

Fixed that for you
Also, the main point of that is that my belief is you're no better than a dictator if you think you need weapons to change something in a democracy. I felt like you were traitors for raising arms against your own country when, if you had stayed and he did do something unconstitutional, you could impeach him. Don't say he would arrest you as he would not even be very powerful if his opposition had stayed in the country rather than seceding.
Wouldn't this in effect mean the no one should look up to George Washington and those who were involved in the revolutionary war? After all they took up arms to change and become a democracy from a government they considered tyrannical.
'Cuz we're portraying politicians.OOC: Why are all of you only taking part of my words into consideration when you say something rather than all of it. It is becoming seriously annoying.
My words "you are no better than a dictator if you think you need weapons to create change in a democracy.
My history may be wrong but I remember Great Britain having a King George III not President George III
You just saw how a communist presidency vote went. If we stayed and tried to impeach him it'd be worseFixed that for you

Anti-Government Leader Dead!
PARIS, FRANCE - Leading protester Georgios Konstantine Citis was found dead in his hotel room last night by French police. An observer at the United Front Meeting in Paris, the Greek ex-patriot resided in Italy, and was a staunch opponent of the Communist government. A trusted confide of both Logan Whitmeyer and T. Renzo Lancelot Trevisian, he was due to give a speech tomorrow night at the Hôtel de Ville, the convention center of the United Front Assembly. He reportedly had several transcripts of the speech, which supposedly presented "groundbreaking new information" about the Foster administration that had never been seen or heard before. The room had no sign of forced entry, and initial reports lead to a possible overdose on sleeping pills. He suffered mild arrhythmia, which may have been a contributing factor. Police, on the other hand, are releasing little evidence about the death. Foul play is not ruled out. Ex-Governor Whitmeyer released a speech about him, see page A7. - Samuel d'Alessandro, Associated Press
I hate to start a eulogy with a cliché, but the world has lost a truly great man. Here was somebody who cared. A man who was determined to give America something better. Someone better. He personally led the movement to have President Foster arrested, however ill-fated it may have been. I remember this July, while I was reading the newspaper at my favorite café in Rome, he walked up to me and said in a heavy Greek accent, "Mr. Whitmeyer, can I speak to you about an important matter?" It was he who convinced me to attend the United Front conference in Paris, and I really wish to thank him. If I could thank him. While on the train to Paris, he talked to me about his childhood. He told me about his hardships, about having to help is widowed mother provide food for eight younger siblings. About growing up as a Greek in a biased neighborhood dominated by racists. About losing his mother to pneumonia last December while she was in a jail cell with several other protesters imprisoned by President Foster. I truly felt sadness for Giorgios, sadness for the suffering this poor, young man has had to endure. But I also admired the man. For his courage in troubled times. He told me how he would send checks to his mother every month from his paycheck as a newspaper editor to help support his family. I was amazed at how he could support his siblings and still protest. He shrugged his shoulders and told me a word I will never forget: "Determination."

I give up. I mentioned why it wouldn't be knowing you would say something like this and you ignored it like you've ignored everything else I've said in the past. You are clearly just going to continue picking out the words that suit you best. You and the other secessionists have shown blatant disrespect for my position despite me taking into account your position in the past. I'm trying to debate while you're just trying to senselessly slander my side.
OOC: I'm being serious here. I GIVE UP!!! This whole rp-ing thing has become annoying for me along time ago. I argue and debate by carefully thinking about my words so my argument makes sense AS A WHOLE while still acknowledging both the bad AND GOOD parts of my enemy's position! As I've said, all of you don't look at my arguments as a whole. You pick out the parts that suit you best and senselessly slander without acknowledging good points too! I'm not going to rp in this thread anymore as I'm not disciplined enough to stay neutral. I ask all of you to please not bait me into a debate as I can't resist. I might join rp-ing again once I get a break from the Communism vs Capitalism debate.

Senator Simon Golson
