American dad, how long will it last

As many forumers may be aware of FOX has a new animated political sitcom "American Dad". The question is how long will it last?

Hopefully a long time. It may not be as good as Family Guy, but it's still good.

mabey a season or 2. Then it will go to cartoon network, and the high ratings it gets will convince fox to bring it back.

I don't think it's going to last that long. it's got the same set up as family guy (exchange brian for that alien and stewy for the fish) and definately isn't as funny. Then again mabey tonight was just one mediocre episode and the next one will be much funnier.

That was just stupid. I hope the rest of the episodes do better than that one did. We didn't even watch the whole thing.

Gah... the entire thing is just rehashed Simpsons/Family Guy plots. I mean, Family Guy and The Simpsons do that enough as it is.

Nothing was done about the alien helo This little guy should be doing something intresting. Say reading a large book titled "War of the worlds" and laughing. Or talking to the fish about how stupid thse humans realy are.
The politicly minded sister - Liza Simpson in about 8 years.

Of course my jury is still out. I'm not willing to pronouce this Dead upon arival just yet. I'll wait untill I've seen a month of the show before I give up on it.

Just to add:
Stan drinking that Virus - Homer Eating poison fish, (but far less interesting)

This show is just plain horrible. I'd give it half a season to improve, followed by a swift execution.

agreed it was terrible, then again maybe it was just cause it followed that (in my opinion one of the best) family episode. Regardless it's worse than the unfortunate decline of simpsons quality.

Nothing like that episode. The poison thing was a lead in to the wifes job, while homer spent that 24 hours truly living
