American feminity and high-pitched voices

Asian girls are like that too. I think it was influence from Japan or something.

It's something that's common across the Sinosphere (China, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, etc.) and is a modern manifestation of an old Confucian-based ideal of woman, though perhaps Japan takes it to an art form.

In any case, as I mentioned earlier, in Asia girls with high pitched voices are worse than anything them western women can attempt.
 
There is a Chinese (98% sure she is Chinese) woman working close to me. Her voice is.. weird.. Super quiet, high pitched..

I *think* she just said hi to me in the lunchroom about 5 minutes ago, but it's tough to say. I said hi back just in case.
 
That is funnily enough also true from my own experience, but hadn't thought of it! Same with guys. Normal American English makes for deeper voices. Good point. That may actually have something to do with the unnatural high voices.

Really? I find the opposite. I think most American men sound like women.
