@dbkblk: about launch error -- game dont run if i use launcher, but launch and work fine if i use steam. Bugged launcher? :shifty:
(Tried "Chek files again" and "reset mod to default")
 
@instans: Have you check that this is the right launcher executable ? Did you applied the "unsupported_patch" on Steam as described on the installation page (Note for Steam users) ? http://anewdawn.sourceforge.net/pages/install/
 
@dbkblk: yep, i tried that all. And my version is [unsupported blabla]. And this error everytime after update... Now i try to reinstall game, mod and megacivpack.
 
Ok. This is due to the recent change in compilation that masaykh suggested. Maybe he knows a bit more about that. What is strange is that you get a Steam error, so the command passed to the mod isn't the right one. I had this error if i try to debug the game with the steam executable (which has nothing to do with the launcher).

Can you try to disable overlay for Civ in Steam ?
 
Hmm... I have no idea at the moment. Play by launching it through Steam, I'll report here if I find something useful.
 
Not exaclty a bug but:
Some 80 turns into the game (marathon) and i open the world builder.
Apparently AI has the tendency to built setlers and just let them sit inside their city...japan for example certainly has built a settler like 10 turns back and still has not built a new city. Same for some other civs.
 
Hi I am making a scenario for this mod and I am having trouble with diplomacy in the world builder save file. For some reason I cant get OpenBordersWithTeam or DefensivePactWithTeam to work on load up however vassals do work fine. Is this because I have Advanced diplomacy enabled? Also how can I establish Embassies and Rights of Passage in the save file.

I am currently on Rev 916 and using the mega civ pack.

The AI need to escort settlers with military. That probably explains why the settler did not moved.

Checked again...zulu have 2 javelineers two warriors one settler and one workboat inside their capital. And they have one warrior fortified some squares to the west.

Japan has a two javelineers and a set inside the city and one warrior fortified one square away. Additionally Japan has a red circle indicating a suitable city spot in egypt!! and they haven't even explored the place!

Spain 2 javelineer one warrior and one set in the city and one extra warrior fortified out side.

Do they need two set escords and two city guardians before they move out of the city? Even so most of these civs have the warriors just standing outside their cities
 
If i understand correctly steam version expect .exe to be executed from steam GUI or directly but not from some "strange" program.
So for steam i suggest - open game options in steam and find there command line and put mod launching command.
I don`t have steam version of civ but logically it will help.

and on other hand do steam launch game?
if i read correctly it can be launched from steam , then can you open in-game menu and launch mod from there?
 
But I play with Steam since ages and starting from launcher has always worked. The move to MinGW have made something to change.

@instans: Do you have the error if you start the launcher as administrator ?

@caymon: Do you use the latest patch from Steam or the "unsupported_beta" ? If not using Steam, is your game patched to 3.19 ?
 
As i see launcher simply execute .exe with mod command and don`t do anything else.

@dbkblk in WB all resources should be accessible ? i don`t see obsidian

@masaykh: Nope. I set in launcher "autostart the mod", and if i launch game on steam Rise Of Mankind start automaticaly.
 
v909 runtime error

for savegame see savegame 1850 posted on savegame thread. the error is about 4 turns later at turn 1854.

EDIT; defiantly a gamebreaker as it does repeat.
 
i think i look on launcher with debugger maybe find something
As i know, mingw don`t have stable issues

upd: @dbkblk can you send me includes\link options for and2_checker.exe?
i see too many unneeded dlls loaded with launcher
