AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

Whenever I run a map with 35 civs or more, I can't build new colonies.

Anybody knows if that is a bug or a limitation of mod?

I think the maximum number of civs was lowered to 35 from 50 since 50 was causing memory issues later in the game.

Limit is still 50 and you can't modify it unless you can recompile the dll. But I'm not sure it's causing your problem. Sometimes you can't release colonies because the game considers your cities to be in the same area of your main territory.

But my cities are 24 tiles away from my main territory.

And it only happens when I have more than 35 civs.

Can you try removing a civ using worldbuilder and see if you can then release your distant cities?

I used to as well, until I realized I had to abandon most of those week-long games by the Industrial / Early Modern becuase of the non-stop "Out of Memory" issues 50 civs on a Huge Marathon map frequently caused :lol:

Great if you like the journey there, but knowing you may full well not be able to finish the game because CivIV wasn't built for that... Is enough to keep me satisfied with 20 ~ 35 civs. At least there I'm almost guaranteed to be able to finish the whole game :king:
 
Same here. 20-35 works just fine, especially if you have revolutions checked.

History Rewritten mod had an available 50 civ portion to it, but as above posters have already stated, it causes severe memory issues, especially mid-late game.

My first game with your MOD and unfortunately after few turns CTD every time

Just 2 comments I made two modifications inside XML files

GlobalDefines.xml
MIN_CITY_RANGE = 3

and

CIV4BuildingInfos.xml
<BuildingClass>BUILDINGCLASS_AIRPORT</BuildingClass>
AirUnitCapacity = 12

Your crash was probably caused by xUPT bug; anyway I've tested it in my current (not yet released) revision and it works; I'll release my next revision very soon probably so it should work for you too.
 
One of may save keeps crashing no matter how far back I go in the auto saves. I understands this sometimes happens but I figured it could help you find bugs that crash the game so here is the initial save and last save that works until the crash.

I can't even load both save with current revision.
 
Would it be possible to have a message telling how much :gold: you obtain when pillaging?
BTS has that, and for the longest time I thought pillaging didn't work anymore, until I was suggested to check my treasury to see that it did, in fact, increase.
 
problem with the AI:

i found out that since 1 or 1,5 months the AI or computer enemy lets say, he is not attacking you from him self , even if you are near him and he say ok common lets make War he dont attack you, like it was bevore on the normal rise of mankind that he have 1 or 2 big armys, he attack you only with a few units which are walking alone arround he even if he have 100% more soldiers then you, he let them on the citys into his middle of the empire, and the outside citys are not protected well, that makes the game very lame and you know you can win the war, because if now or later, you know you will get the city and he is not attacking back to your main citys.

so please try to fix that because something like that makes the game better or not.

I know, I haven't forgotten, I'm working on it. Just to make sure: are you using Unit-per-tile limit under BUG option or not? Thanks.
 
no i dont use it right now, i started with that but after i saw that i get crash and back to desktop i changed it to 0 again.
 
and one thing i forgot, the AI want after a War started just a few turns later freedom again and if he have 50 citys and he loose 1 or 2 he give you also his underwear to stop the War :)

That might depend if you or him are using interventionism. Are you using it or does it happen early in the game too?
