AND2 and SVN Bug Reports - A New Dawn 2 ONLY

Civ4ScreenShot0103.JPG

Anyone care to explain what this means? Please?

And I can't update my mod past version 978

On aggressive AI not attacking, it will attack, but waits till it has overwhelming forces.

If they don't, they will just send in pillaging units, 1 or 2 at a time.

Just declaring war, and sitting back, as in BTS strategy, to kill them on YOUR lands, just won't work.

Its SMARTER.

It won't send in stacks to be decimated in enemy lands, it will wait in its own land for YOU!!!!

I've a sort of bug, or at least a game play anomaly.

If your spiritual, you can switch civics with 1 turn of anarchy.

fine so far.

BUT, you can also switch from Chiefdom to Despotism, and back again.

WHY? Well, you settle a city build infrastructure etc and gather food at SIZE 1.

Once you have a reasonable city running, with improvements and all, you switch to Chiefdom from Despotism and suddenly you size 1 city will grow, EACH TURN to a size 5 or 6, with a GRANARY.

I've just done this playing Marathon speed, Seems a bit of a cheat, as the AI can't do it as well.

Solution - For once, I wish you wouldn't ask me for a solution to problems I pose.

O.K. When food stores cycles over to the next level up, they should only keep 30% of PREVIOUS LEVEL in storage. If you change civics, the food levels are only stored at

0% for no Granary
30% of previous bin population cycle for granary.
50% " " " " " for Grain silo.

With an added calculation, to give the LOWER of level Previous bin storage v's civics adopted.

Personally, if the AI can't do it, its a cheat, and needs to be fixed.:king:

After the latest update, after loading a save I got asked to recalculate because some changes. I expected a slight change in numbers but the sudden drop from 5.2k gold to 3.8k gold per turn make me assume it did not took the currently running golden age into consideration? Will the golden age then remove modifiers which may not have reapplied by the recalculate and adds to a steeper drop?

edit:
False alarm. Postponed the recalc till after the golden age and still got the drop.

I have ""Failed to compress game data" error ..... it appears after my savegame breaks over 2000KB .
Here is my PC spec:
INTEL CORE 2,6 GHz
RAM 4 GB
NVIDIA GEFORCE 840M
WINDOWS 7, 64 BIT SYSTEM

Map is Huge Earth scenario .

My laptop is brand new, finding this error was more amusing than anything else, any ideas?

Also ,another problem - My scoreboard doesnt show civ religion ....I have checked all the settings and options and anything that can possible affect scoreboard, even checked vanilla settings just in case, nothing works...I have to manually check AI religions. All the time

I don't know about the first one, but the other issue, please read the steam users note here:

That was one time bug ,fortunately I am continuing my game now. Thanks for help about religion icon, one question though, how it will affect mod, and my savegame ? Should I finish my game first?

It wont affect it at all. The steam update include a better steam integration but no gameplay change.

Thanks for fats reply with working wolutions, I revereted steam civ4 and updated mod via launcher ...well, another problem here( apart from not starting f4om launcher anymore,i have to start mod manualy) : My income was + 58 at 0% science and culture( i just started to play as small nation teared up by rebellions and war, since my main nation became boring) . After new patch recalculations my income became -7 .....with 0 science mind you, i didnt saw any drastic economical changes in notes, installed for better AI .... , what was recalculated so drasticly? Checking finances i figured that my civics and city upkeeep eats everything, but my income became lower ,somehow......

I found out that my buildings income just dissapeared from my finances, completly. Also i found some resources that i dont have but they are still avilable to me (yes,i checked all trade agreements) before recalculTing also, in different quantities( not sure if that was intended or bug) but they dissaper after also, quantities become normal again( 1 gem = 1 gem and not 3) . About few turns ...should I realy expect changes? Or I can play without recalculating?

Also about AI- i like ho strong nations cn handle themslef ecoomicly and revolutions, but combat....just ...you know

Ai declared war on me and wandered his only offense force( few trebhchets) into my lands ONE BY ONE without any protection. Since our nations are small it was literLly high boost to me nd huge loss to him. Whats AI thoughts on that?...like realy? Also, hes absolutly incapable of any offensive force, my previous nation with tremendous economy snd military cant capture the cirty of some vassal civ with no more than 8 defenders in city. He spams macemans ,man at arms, etc trash, when theres available ballista elephants and 13 str swordsmans to him. Dont want to sound offensive, but is that realy that hard to programm ai for usage of best units available or is that for diversity sake?

Yes, it's really that hard.

hi all, first of all congratulations for this mod... i think it's the best and i really like to play with it.
Here is the BUG i found while playing: when i click the red icon of the end turn the game goes in LOOP and it doesn't respond anymore... i have to stop it with the windows console.
I include my savegame data... i don't find any log file in BTS main folder.
I also try to restart the game from 4 or 5 turns before, but it goes in LOOP after year 1585 anyway...

I use MOD rev. 991 installed today.

Hope u can help, thanx in advance

@ MarcAlfa,

Just having a look, the saved game is from 990, not 991 as you quoted, Saved build 982.

Anyway, I've just installed 991, and I'll update and have a look.

I've been able to play through to Social Contract, not a problem.?? 1627 AD

If you want next turn save unmoved, I'll do it again.

I'm soryy if it sounded wrong, I understand that civ 4 AI is utter mess. Just thought that maybe it was intentional, to prevent ai from some dumber mistakes.

About my recalcuating problem - I made 15 turns, all city connections and resources normalised, but BUIDINGS INCOME just dissapeared from my game. No palace, apiary etc. Income . Only trade connections and worked tiles birng me money. How can I fix this? I am playing on 990 version but not recalculating now, because thats annoying bug.

P.s. in all my complains I forgot to compliment team for this mkd:) also great work with trade routes system rebelancing, I realy enjoy it.

I am not sure if it is a bug, but if you are attacking 2 seige engines with 2 units, if you select one unit, attack then select the other unit and attack you capture 1 unit. If you select both units and attack you capture both units.

I would expect the result of these to be the same.

Just saw this; did anybody else suddenly lost all power in the continent that had the Geothermal Power for every city on this continent event? Reloaded an older .84 save to make sure, there it had all power; after Ctrl/Shift/T - Blackout.

In case somebody wants to look at that error I try to attach my last save where the South American continent still has power.
Is it possible to somehow re-ignite the event? Will it randomly re-appear?
