Miep Gies, the person who helped hiding Anne Frank and her family has died at the age of 100. After the Frank family was arrested she collected the (diary) papers and kept them save. She didn't read them and she might had destroyed the diary if she did because Anne Frank named all of the helpers in it.

After the war she gave the diary to Otto Frank, Anne's father, the only one who had survived the war.

Sad news. but she did remarkable things and lived to be remarkably old.

Was she considered one of the Righteous Among Nations for her actions? I know literally nothing about her.

Requiescat in pace. May her preservation of Holocaust history never be forgotten.
