Do you think the clerk took the money and then accused the girl of shoplifting?

The 2 people I'm relying on are the clerk and the girl in the video - both of them acted like someone was caught shoplifting. How do you hand a clerk $2 for OJ and not even put it on the counter to show the clerk what you're buying? When I said she was shoplifting it wasn't to justify shooting her, it was just a description about what led to the struggle and shooting. But that upset you for some reason even though you said 'for the sake of argument', so what if she was a shoplifter? What if? Did I say she deserved to die for that? No, I said the clerk didn't have the right of self defense and should have done serious time for killing the girl. Now if the clerk had shot her during the attack she could have a legal justification. You should try to be more accurate if you're inclined to call people liars.

I don't. Since IRL such people deserve to be beaten to pulp, but the medium doesn't allow that, I think patience is totally unwarranted and the only solution is ostracism at the level allowed by the medium. Answering the bigots just encourages them, and since site management refuses to do anything about them other than offer protection until we get widespread ostracism in place we are stuck with them.

The paradox of tolerance is really the end of the argument, nobody can refute it but the thread just keeps on going anyway.

Violence is not acceptable.

Violently attacking "adjacent" people judged by vigilantes for "enabling potential future violence" is obviously wrong and cannot be tolerated.

If force must be used to stop violence, then the force users must be those with the judgement to discern between those who are being violent and those who are considered on the same team.

Was gonna stay clear of that particular argument but the complete disrespect for forum rules got to me. I understand that due to the nature of OT there has to be some leniency, but my own game discussions on CFC(well, not so much in the Civ6 forum) led me to expect better from users here. But ignoring that the LAPD watched the videos and decided that what was in them was consistant with what the witnesses said.
