Any interest in a team match?

Basically the Narz/CFC team faces off with another team & they match us up by rating (Mehmed would face their top rated player, 1600 player would get matched with their 1600 player, etc.). You play your nemesis on the other team two games (one as white, one as black) & at the end the team with the most points wins.

I was going to wait until after the intra-CFC tourney was over but it's only one extra game at a time & life is short & all.

Anywayz, I went ahead & created one. Edit : it's on baby, sign up and rep-re-sent!

I set the max. players at 12 so once another team accepts & twelve of us sign up it's on!

There's a little thing at the bottom of the emails to change settings so you don't get them.

Not having done a team thing before, do we discuss each move with each other before we move? That would be a great learning tool. (At least for me.)

And tell me where on earth on Chess.com can I get it to come up (like in our online tournament play.) I click on vote chess but can't seem to find our group and comments and what or when we play.

No stwils, we can't talk about our games in progress like in team matches but we can talk about them afterwards over a round of drinks.

We're totally underdogs, every single opponent of ours is higher rated. I was hoping col could get in. I wouldn't have guessed it would fill up overnight!

I signed up for this yesterday. Looks like I have a tough match ahead of me. Time to install Tournament Chess (I keep forgetting to do it.) and get some practice in before I get schooled! Got a tip from a friend and co-worker who's on Chess.com (don't know his username, but I know his real name in full) that I can't wait to use in my next game.

My opponent's rating is much higher but if I score an upset, my rating would jump

I'm playing 3rd board, White against _henry_ from The Learning Group. He tried to play French, but I took the game into the realms of something much like the Panov-Botvinnik (Caro-Kann). Game is here

My opponent, Ilovegambits, played the Smith-Morra Gambit against me, which is fine with me, I'm pretty comfortable with it, even in Blitz.
