Any special plans for X-mas?

I'll prob drive up to Madison, Wisconsin on Christmas Eve. My mom throws a xmas eve party, and I've been told in no uncertain terms that I'm expected to be there . We'll do the giving of gifts thing, and then I'll drive back to Chicago the day after Christmas to meet the rest of my girlfriend's family.

In Greece it is according to the western calendar, although in theory it should have been otherwise. In fact there is a sect of people who are called palaeohemerologetes, which means "oldcalendarians" and hold the old dates as sacred.

Not sure why the calendar changed, probably so as to reflect westernization, i am sure there is some wiki article about it somewhere

They do that in Macedonia as well. Last year my wife and I went to Skopje after Christmas and so we celebrated New Year there. My wife who was staying on tried to get me to change my flight back to UK so we could celebrate Old Christmas and Old New Year with her family.
