Anyone else notice this?

I'm sure most of you know of the announcements that Thunderfall and the mods post every so often on the front page. Sometimes an announcement has a link to a corresponding forum thread; most often it does not. I had always assumed that the ones that don't aren't open for discussion (unless of course you open your own thread).

But now I just realized that you can reply to any announcement. Right below the title of the announcement is a hyperlink with the word "comments," and beside it is the current number of comments posted:

Click the word "comments" to bring up a webpage looking like this (and yes, it always looks like this, regardless of your forum style):

You can read the announcement and any corresponding comments, and you can post your own reply, just like a forum thread.

Am I the only one who's never noticed this before?

I think it is - the news updater has been changed, and is now much cooler. I presume this is an added feature.

I like it (although the comments page reminds me of a hybrid of Apolyton and CDG for some reason.. :s ).

I too like it. As you can see, I was the one to post that comment . I agree with CT that it should use the same colors as your style in the forum does, or at least the default style (and the same smilies!).

yeah, the new news script is working great so far!

When I have a little more time I'll update the comments style to match the site/forum color scheme.

Yes. For example, you notice that Ginger_Ale has posted. Whether or not non-members are allowed to post or not I'm not sure.

Also, Thunderfall, is there a way to put a "Back To CFC Home" link on the page, because it would make life a lot easier than having to hit back three times. It's not that important, but it would still be nice.

Yes, that would be nice. Also I would also like the forum colors there too, it looks a bit weird as it is different than all other pages here...
