Well, it is an odd question, and i guess the answer will be NO, but i was wondering if there are other posters from this city or nearby (such as from fyromia )

I suspect that given the size of this city (over 1 mil) and the relatively high percentage of Greeks using the internet, there must be a few more from Thessalonike.

However this thread can serve a better role, namely to ask here if there is anyone from your city.

Anyway, since i still have not filled my ratio of 2 threads per day, i will probably keep the other option for a better one

I don't know why, names usually attract me more than substance. I doubt I'd ever be able to go. My sister has grand dreams of visiting greece, she's really big into them old greek gods such as Zeus. If I ever could go it'd be great, I don't like much being stuck in Kentucky at all times. (Though I'm starting to grow to like this state for what it is.)

I'm originally from Lexington, Kentucky and when you pull in at I-75 or I-64 you see all those big restaurants that want to rope you in, at least that's what I remember. Before I was in Bursa and near the Sea of Marmara but now I'm in the east so I'm less likely to be roped into Thessaloniki. Last time I went to Greece I was across the border from Turkey and I just saw some pelicans on top of telephone poles but it was pretty boring, I was in Orestiada.

Depends on the person. I usually say nowhere because being born in a military family and a vet myself, I was moved every 3 or 4 years. So when one asks, I say "nowhere and everywhere."

I'm from Nashville, so I'm a little local to y'all! Owensboro is on the Ohio River west of Evansville. Oh, and Ice Tyrant, I meant to tell you in another thread, I've been to Moonlight BBQ before.
