Our "slave" army? Look at which empire owns more slaves Roman.....

To Numidia
From Persia
Do not trust the word of the Emperor of Rome! His words are poison! We grant you the technology of Iron Working as a token of our friendship, remember, divided we will fall, united we will bring the Roman Empire down!

yu cant deny thew truth alex; persia relied on slavery on an industrial scale that utterlly dwarfed the admitted reliance the Roman empire had for them. The periasn army isnt even a unfirm army; its mad eup of native contigents who are forced into giving service; at least Rome has enough sense to go and start handing out citizen ship,a nd breed a naitonal pride maounst the peoples it conqoures, while Persia litterally did treat every single person from every area they conqoured asa a slave and servent to persia.

see what happens when you take a slave based economy and suddenlly take away from it the very core of the eocnomies being; i dare you ;)

it took 10 centuires to ween europe off of slavery, and a complete collapse of the economy occured at the very start, and for the next 6 centuries, nearlly no economci gain was met ;) (that just happnes otbe the time periond my NES is set in...)

I accept ur dare Xen. And an earlier Feudalism shouldn't hurt....

To Goths and Romans:

We will make peace, but Giths must give us some land as they promised, and we want Roman lands of Normandy. and northern Goth conquests.

Just a bit of a note, but slavery is bad for an industrial society, is it not? From what I know,

To: Rome
From: Numidia

We will die, then! We will become our own nation, or be destroyed trying. We wish not to be rich, we wish not to be powerful, and we wish not glory. We wish to rule ourselves, to form ourselves a true kingdom -- and be remembered by history as more than mere "tribes" or provinces of Rome!

*all other diplomacy PMed*

Orders: Settle if possible.
Others will come after answer.

Diplo: To Rome: The Iron Eye people believe that we should put aside our differences and deal with the goth/frank threat. Of course if this comes to be the iron eyes will want some land.

To Celts: Alliance?

We will agree; Rome will fight from its side, and your tribe will fight on the other; Ronme will ensure that you get the traditional ironeye lands, while Rome re-cements its traditional border in the area.

however, ti should be none that this cannot happen if you enter into allince with the celts, as they are at war with Rome, moreover, they started the war for no reason, and will soon face the rath fo angrey legions, and recurits form people forced out of thier homes.

nope, you maike war with no reason, you either surrender uncondionally, die, or give back eveything that you took, plua an indemity. those are your three options before my legions march.

to Rome:
We shall consider your offer. But We atleast want Attila the hun to return to our leaders or else we will forever be in shame in our tribe.

while that is a much more reasonable, offer, Rome wishes to ask; exactley what crime the huns have commited against your people?

to Rome:
It was so long ago far in the east. We already lost tracks of the stories. All we remember is that they have insulted our tribe. We do not remember more.

To: Mongols
From: Rome

we shall give you the head of the tribe, or the closest of kin if the tribal head has died to cement our allaince, and begin the march agiasnt the persian empire, to restore the Roman borders, and give the mongols a rich kingdom, in which both of our empires can exists in peace- agreed?

to Rome:
It is agreed. We also promise to the Huns that the leader or his son will not be killed.

to Schytia:
Unite with us! your going to get your rich lands!

@erez: Scythians are totally different people (I think).

Also, when you're asking to join me, are you asking me to give up my tribe and merge it into yours, or are you asking for an alliance, or are you asking for me to follow you around a little while longer? Just wondering.

i said it cause your tribe if you dont' send orders will vanish and i'll loose an ally. i mean your army will merge with mine.

Oh, just the army? OK.

ORDERS
-Send 500 warriors and 500 horsemen to join the Mongols.
-Buy 1000 Warriors and 250 Horsemen.
-Move east.

From: Crimeans
To: Mongols

We are giving you 1000 of our best soldiers to fight with your people. Will this be acceptable?

wait if you stay so don't join my army :p just come with me were going to get the schytians a home in mesopotamia.

[histrical quirk not even loselly covered in schools]- the Middle east has a tradition of feudalism that spans back to the bronze age; parthia for instence was a classic feudalism that Europe would one day see in its full glory- Persia was one as well, but to a lesser extent in that generally, the central authority could much better grapple on, and subdue rebellious local nobles[/quirk]
